January 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

I hope that you all had a great New Year’s Day!

We had a great day and went to the movie, “Frozen”.  It is a darling movie and I can see why all the kids love it…I loved it!
I was also able to start organizing a little bit, but I have a whole lot more to go!  I still have not put all my Christmas away, which is not like me, but I just cannot seem to jump in tackle it quite yet.  But I will! :)

Here is the Visiting Teaching handout for this month for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the title of this message is, “The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ:  Exemplar”
I really love the title of this and that is why I included it on this month’s handout.  I looked up the word exemplar and thought that I would include it here for you:
______________________________________________________________________________________________________
ex·em·plar
igˈzemplər,-ˌplär/
noun

  1. a person or thing serving as a typical example or excellent model.
“he became the leading exemplar of conservative philosophy”
synonyms: epitome, perfect example, paragonideal, exemplification, textbook example, embodimentessencequintessence

I love this definition and especially the word quintessence!  Click on that word to see what I mean.

So here are the printables for this month:

I went with a winter theme, because it is winter here in Utah and most of the US!

    Jan-2014-VT-Handout-001-blank

This is the blank one for those of you that would like to translate.  Or if you are in need of a winter card or tag this will work for that!

I chose to tie up a pair of gloves and a small tube of lotion along with this tag for my handout this month.  I decided that I would not do a food treat because a lot of us are trying to diet this month! :)  This tag says “Cold Hands Warm Heart!

    Here are the printable tags:

To print, right click over the image and go to “save image as”  then save in a folder.  Or you can right click over the image and go to “copy image”  the open your favorite program like Word or Presentations and right click again and go to “paste”.  You can then print from there.  The cards are formatted to 4 x 6 and the tags are formatted to an 8.5 x 11 page.

It is not important to take something to your sisters every month,

the visit is the thing that is important!

Happy visiting this month!  Love Ya!

    1. I am really sorry, I wish that I could, but I just do not have enough time to make all the special requests that I get, so I have to say no to all of them.
