Friday’s Favorite Find-Heidi Swapp’s Memory Planner

A couple of week ago when I was cleaning and organizing in my scrapbook room, I came across this book that I had put together in 2011.  I only completed about 6 months in this book, but it was so fun to look back and see some of the projects that I did and some of the trips that we took and some of the holidays that we celebrated etc.

These pages came from Prepared not Scared.  I really did not love the pages, but I love this concept!   These pages are fun for kids and if you would like to do these kind of pages for your children here is a link for this year’s calendar and journaling pages!

You have one page as the calendar and one page of journaling details of what you did that month!  I think that your calendar tells a lot about you.  You are able to see a lot of the places that you go…appointments, meetings, lunches etc.

In this book, I could add as many pages as I wanted for pictures.  I did not do a lot of fluff, I just wanted to document things and guess what…it was just as fun to look at these pages as the pages that I used to spend hours on making them!

I had decided that I wanted to make another one of these books for this year, 2014, but I really did not want the cutesy pages and I was wondering how I could make one of these books  and then I saw this short video on the Heidi Swapp website!  This was exactly what I was looking for!

This is her Memory Planner.  Of course mine is already decorated up.  I added all the ribbons and a couple of chipboard stickers to the front.

This planner is exactly what I was looking for!  It has a calendar page for every month and places to add journaling on the other side.

Then there is a plastic sheet in the middle to add your photos or you can add more journaling cards!  This is perfect!  You are limited to the sizes on the pictures, but there is room for at least 8 pictures every month!  I am so excited to get started on this book.  I will wait until the month of January is over and then go back and fill in the journaling and print pictures off my phone and my camera of the things that I want to remember for this month!  It is so doable to do it this way.  I know that I have one page of journaling and places for about 8 pictures.  It is not so overwhelming as scrapbooking every little thing and it is fun to go back a read it in the future, because the whole year is in simple format and all in one book!

So that is my favorite find for this time.  I am really loving the fact that I was able to find one of these books.  They are available at Michaels, but they are very new, so you might have to keep looking to find one.  I could not find anyplace online to order one, but as they become more available, you may soon be able to find them online.

I am still having a great time with my Silhouette machine and going through the lessons that I have.  I have gone through the first 2 classes, but decided that I would watch them all one more time, just to make sure that I have it down better before I order the next two classes.

Thanks for visiting today!  Love Ya!
