May 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

First of all I have to apologize for the troubles that we had yesterday!  A lot of you let me know that you could not see any of the images or navigate around the blog, and I appreciate all of the support I recieved.  I think that we are now fixed up again!  Thanks for your patience  during  our new facelift!

This month for your visiting teaching message to your sisters, you will need to pick your favorite conference talk to teach.  There are so many good ones again this time that it is hard to pick! :)

Since it is soon going to be gardening time around here, I thought this would be a fun theme to work around, so I made my regular card, a blank card and a seed packet!May 2014 VT handout

Here are the printables.  I am going to try something a little bit different this month.  I am including the jpeg picture like always, but I am going to do a pdf download for those that would like it that way!  So here is the printable with the message:

May-VT-2014-000-Page-1

This is formatted for a 4 x 6 card.

Here is the blank for those of you that would like to translate, or for those of you that want a fun garden card for something else!

Here is the seed packet page.  This is formatted for an 8.5 x 11 page, so you can just print your own.  Cut out on the solid lines and fold  on the dotted lines around the strawberry box to make your packet.  Glue the flaps and you are done!

But again the most important thing is your visit!

Happy Visiting!

    1. You are welcome and thank you so much for your kind comment! It makes me happy when someone can use one of my ideas! :)

  1. I love your designs. I was wondering if you would share what program you use to create them. If you don’t want to, I understand but I love designing things as well, but I have never found a way to make such lovely items.

    1. Teresa, the program that I use is called Scrapbook Max. It is pretty user friendly, but is a little bit technical to load all the images onto it. It is not hard, there are just quite a few steps. The images that I use come from justsoscrappy.com. I have a licence to use their images. I hope that this helps. You can check out Scrapbook Max at http://www.scrapbookmax.com they have a free trial that you can try it out!

  2. Thanks so much! I was just browsing Pinterest to find a free garden themed printable. Your gift will be the perfect card to make invitations for a luncheon I’m hosting for my neighbor ladies later this month! And the seed packets will be fun favors! Thanks again for your generosity! BTW, the updated website looks fantastic!

    1. That sounds like a fun idea! Thanks for sharing. I am sure that your neighbor ladies are going to love it!

  3. I hope you know that your great handouts make visiting teaching so fun….I actually look forward to seeing your ideas for each month. Many thanks of appreciation to you, Rita!

  6. Rita,
I really enjoy your website. I’m just trying to figure out how you have the time to do all the creative things you do and still keep sane. These are wonderful to use for this months visiting Teaching. No matter which talk is used for the visiting teaching lesson, it will go perfectly. Thanks again for sharing your talents. P.S. I’m still computer stupid when it comes to downloading and stuff…sometimes I get it to work like it should and sometimes I’m giving the computer the stupid look. hahahaha..

    1. I am just a little crazy, that’s all! Thanks for taking the time to comment, I appreciate your support. Hope you have a great day!
      Rita

  7. Just want to say Thank You! You have such clever ideas and it’s so sweet of you to share. I love to take a handout when I go visiting teaching but coming up with one is not my talent. I so much appreciate your creativeness.

  8. Again and again you save the day with your amazing ideas for my visiting teaching handouts!! I love to go and see my sisters in the ward and share your wonderful creations! They always love to receive them and I always give you full credit for all your hard work!! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and love of the gospel with me and the sisters in my ward. You are truly a blessing to many!

    1. Nan, again, thank you for your kind comment. I love it when I hear that people are using one of my ideas. It always makes me so happy, so thanks for the smile today!

  9. Thank you SO MUCH for all your cute ideas. I look forward to each month’s VT handout ideas. I’ve tried to print out this month’s (May) VT handout several times and I can only get the card to print on a full 8 1/2 x 11 sheet rather than the 4×6. I’d really like to get two cards on one page. Can you give me some suggestions on how to get it to print correct? Thank you.

    1. When you click on the image on your page, you should see some boxes on each corner. Grab one of the boxes and drag it to the size that you want. Or you can size it when you get ready to print in your printer set up. Hope this helps.

  10. Thank You! It is so wonderful for you to be willing to share your marvelous talents! Thanks a bunch. Love it!

  11. Hi! I love the handouts that you make for visiting teaching, they’re always so inspiring and creative. I was just wondering if you ever thought about making two templates, one for the northern and southern hemisphere? I live in New Zealand and a few of my friend check out your website and look for messages and ideas. And its just hard for us to use some of your templates, for example, when it is Summer for you and are enjoying the heat, it is actually winter for us. Just an idea….either way will still check your site often.

    Thanks in advance

    Kiwi mum :)

    1. Pirihira, I will have to keep this in mind. I usually try to make them around the holidays or seasons and perhaps I need to just make them more neutral! Thanks for your suggestion. Have a great day in New Zealand!
