Every year at our Sinterklaas Christmas party I give each family a new Family Home Evening Manual for the new year.
This year I decided to use the “Book of Mormon for Young Readers”
Today, I thought it would be fun to share my Fall Reading List with you!
Do you love to read?
Do you ever sing this song to your kids or grandkids…Oh What Do You Do In The Summertime? I love this song and it is fun to think of all the wonderful, fun things that you can do! I thought it would be fun to share just a few things that we have done already! We have been having so much fun this summer and we have our summer bucket list all ready to go…how about you? When I was at World Market a few weeks ago I found this darling Pippi Longstocking Book! It brought back many wonderful childhood memories! I remember loving this book as a child and now I’ve found this darling chalkboard version on the cover! Continue reading
It is almost the new year and it is time to get organized and set new goals! I spent all morning yesterday purging out my closet!! I was going to do one side, but once I got going I decided to just keep going and get more done! I did all of the hanging clothes and my shoes. I need to do some built-in shelves and the drawers, but I feel like a new woman with a clean closet! :)
Today I am super excited to show you my new 2016 Planner…this is what is going to keep me organized next year! Continue reading
Today I have a fun gift idea for those of you that are Mormons and have a small family or for those of you that are grandparents to small children.
It is this “ites” book:
It’s time once again for one of my Friday’s Favorite Finds!
I got this find at Swiss Days a couple of months ago, but I have been waiting to share it because I wanted it to be a little closer to Christmas…because this would make a great gift either for yourself or for someone special. Continue reading
I was planning on doing a post about meeting the Pioneer Woman today, but I am still waiting for one photo…so I am going to post these darling dishtowels instead! :)
Is anyone out there still working on your goals that you set? I am still using this book, by Connie Sokol, and I am loving the fact that I set a new goal each week and then I REWARD myself! It really seems silly that a grown woman needs a reward in order to get her goals accomplished, but guess what? It is working…so I will keep doing it if it works! My goal for the week was to clean out two, (yes, I have two) dishtowel drawers! I purged the old ones and washed and ironed all of my aprons and folded everything neatly. It looks so good, that sometimes I just open the drawer to look at how wonderful it looks! Well my reward was that I got to make two new dishtowels. I had this fabric from our trip last March and I still had not made them up, so I told myself that was going to be my reward…to make these darling dishtowels.
Today I wanted to do another one of my favorite finds!
Since it is the beginning of the new year and a lot of us are thinking about resolutions and goals I wanted to share this book with you. I am a very type A person and I love to read organizational books and articles! :) I am a list maker and I love to write in my planner and plan out all of my “to-do’s” for the day. One of my biggest problems is that my lists are usually longer than the time in the day!
I don’t even remember where I read about this book, but I ordered it and have been working on it for 3 weeks now! I love the concept of this book, that you set ONE goal a week and work on it. (Not a whole page of them!) The second thing that I love about this book is that you are supposed to reward yourself! How many of us women ever reward ourselves? Not many. Well, now you have an excuse to reward yourself for the goals that you accomplish! Gotta love that! Another thing that you will do with this book is write a life plan. This little exercise really made me stop and think about what I really want to accomplish in my life time!
The name of this book is:
