I just finished decorating for fall and Thanksgiving! I love this Autumn holiday and the fact that we can stop and reflect on all of the many blessings that we have. All we have to do is take a look around us and we will see how very fortunate we all are!
I made this wreath for under $13! All of the fall florals were on sale at Michaels for 80 % off, so I was able to score! Continue reading
Here are two fun pumpkin ideas for your fall decorating. The great thing about these two ideas is that they can be used all the way through Thanksgiving! You can make them now and keep them through all of the fall holidays! Continue reading
Last week at our Girls weekend, I showed you a picture of a couple of unfinished projects. I got one of those projects completed this week and I love how it turned out! These pumpkins are perfect for any fall decorating, not just for Halloween! I can leave these up through Thanksgiving! Hurray! And aren’t they adorable?? Continue reading
I love the fall time!
I love the changing of the seasons and the fact that it is starting to cool down at night. I love the leaves turning colors, football games, hot chocolate, bonfires, and all of the fall holidays! I have not always loved fall however, when I was younger, it seemed like kind of a depressing time with all the leaves and flowers “dying”. The kids would go off to school and my husband used to hunt a lot and it just seemed like a lonely time…WHAT WAS I THINKING??? I am so glad that I can see the beauty of the Autumn weather and enjoy all the changes that this season brings. I guess that I just needed to be old enough to accept change and see all the good in that! Just as in life, we need to accept change and look for the good things around us!I love this thought! Isn’t it so true?!
Happy Thursday everyone and thanks for visiting today!
Okay, last week was one of those weeks! It was very busy…not necessarily stressful…just busy. I know that all of you have those weeks sometimes and by the end of the week you are just exausted, right?
My week started out on Monday by bottling and freezing peaches and tending kids. It was so good to get my canning done. We picked the peaches the Sat. before and I got 5 boxes of peaches off my little tree this year! Then on Tuesday, I cleaned out all of my pantry…so that I could put my new bottled fruit on one of the shelves. Wed. I went with my dad for his cataract surgery and Wed night I had to give a short talk at a Relief Society activity for my church. I thought that I was going to bottle my dad’s peaches for him on Thursday…but my dear sweet sister sent me a text and told me that she and dad had gotten them all done on Wed. night! I am so lucky to have such a great sister! :) So on Thursday I went to see how my dad was doing and we took a little trip down to the food bank (after cleaning out my pantry on Tues!) On Friday my husband and I usually like to go to our property in the mountains and then to our cabin, but my husband was inducted into the Lehi High School Hall of Fame, during the halftime of the homecoming football game that night! He was given this award for all of his service and time he has spent with the sports programs in Lehi throughout a great many years. It was quite an honor and we are proud of him!
I love the fall time!
I love the cooler weather and I love the leaves changing colors and I love that the yard work is soon coming to an end! :) I also love to decorate for the fall holidays! Even though some days it still feels like summer, the evenings cool down and you can tell that fall is in the air. So I decided that it was time to change up my chalkboard door for Autumn! I thought that today I would just do a fun Thanksgiving Roundup to get us ready for next week,
with recipes, games, printables, decorations and just fun eye candy!
Here is a great site with many vintage images! I love the old vintage pictures!

Today I have a super easy recipe for you that is perfect for any of your fall gatherings!
This would be a great one to make for Thanksgiving day, as an appetizer while everyone is waiting around for the turkey to get done! Or it would be a great treat to watch during all of those football games that go on all day long! Like I said, it is super easy to make and only has 4 ingredients, so the kids could even help with this recipe and give you more time on the important things, like reading all those black Friday ads! :)
Today my thought comes from a little 4-wheeling trip that my husband and I took last week! We went up on a family property that we have and it was the most awesome, beautiful, Autumn day, that it just filled my heart with Thanksgiving for all the beauty and blessings that surround us!
What if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday?
Makes you think, doesn’t it?
I finally got my Thanksgiving Table quilt done last week! It took me longer to get to it than I anticipated! (But isn’t that how a lot of things go?) I am very happy with it, and it is on my kitchen table now, where I can enjoy it every time I walk into the kitchen!
