Before I tell you about my St. George Get-Away I need to explain my spelling problem from the Visiting teaching post. I was sick last week when I was trying to get it posted and I worked on it in the middle of the night, apparently I was not thinking straight because I misspelled two words!!! Ha Ha! I corrected it…but not until we got back from our fun weekend! Continue reading
My daughter, granddaughter, a friend and I went to the Luke Bryan Concert last night at the USANA Amphitheater and we had so much fun! We were singing and dancing all night long…along with the rest of the crowd. Everyone stood through the entire concert and it was fun to be a part of it! Continue reading
We had a fun 24th of July family party last weekend. It was great because we had our entire family! That does not seem to happen as much as it used to when the kids were all smaller…funny how that happens!
We went up to our family property for a little fishing, 4-wheeling, games and a great time being with one another. Continue reading
My husband and I had two of our grandsons staying with us for a few days while their parents were away on a business trip. They were so much fun and they were soooo good! I kept commenting how well they got along…unlike my two oldest boys, when they were that age…that could not be in the same room for 15 minutes without a problem! :)Aren’t they a couple of heart-breaker boys!
Today is my husband and I’s 39th wedding anniversary! We were talking about it last night and how it just did not seem possible for time to have gone by that fast! We have had some wonderful times and some rather bumpy times, but we have always gotten through them with the help of each other!
We were oh so young, yet so in love!
(You gotta love those side burns!)
Happy Monday everyone!
I hope that you all had a great Easter Weekend and got to enjoy at least part of it with your family and those that you love. I really enjoyed watching General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints this weekend and I feel renewed and ready to go forth again! I also enjoyed watching the mini series-“AD The Bible Continues.” I loved the first show…what do you think about it?
My husband and I have a property in Upton, Utah. It is a hunting property that has tons of roads and trails to explore on! Our family loves to go up there to look for deer, go fishing, hiking, having picnics, exploring, hunting for horn sheds, and to ride the ATV’s! Continue reading
For Christmas, my husband and I decided that we wanted to give everyone an experience, instead of a wrapped gift, so we gave my daughter and DIL’s a girl’s weekend!
It was so much fun!
We started off by going to dinner at Bucca di Beppo. Most of them had never been here before, so they loved trying out a new dining place!
We were waiting for one more DIL to come, but the photo session started anyway!
I had a really fun sleepover/baking class for my granddaughters the other day. They loved it and it turned out to be a really fun time for everyone! Continue reading
We had our family pictures taken way back in May, but it has taken this long for me to get the finished products and get them put up on the wall! The pictures that I took down were about 18 years old! I have other family photo walls that are a lot more recent than that, but on this particular wall, I had not changed the pictures for that long!! I guess that I am just a creature of habit and love to see old pictures of my family.
With all of my recuperating time from my accident and now with summer coming to an end really quick (the kids start back to school next week!) I did not get to my usual sewing classes for all the granddaughters. But I decided that I would do a class with my oldest granddaughter because she is now old enough to do most of it on her own! Eight years old is a great time to start your little ones sewing, because they are so excited about it and they are getting the coordination that is needed to run the foot pedal and guide the fabric at the same time!
