Garage Organization

I am so excited about my new Garage Organization!  My garage has always been a bit of an eye sore.  It seems to be the collect all for anything that I don’t want in the house and I have not seriously organized it for several years!  I give it a good clean out at least twice a year, but I have not organized things and de-junked for a long time!  So it was well over-due for a good organization!  garage organization Continue reading

Appliqued Zippered Pouch

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend and that you enjoyed the 40 day conference reading challenge!  I know I did…and I am excited for conference weekend this next weekend!

I made this fun Appliqued Zippered Pouch from some of my Lori Holt fabric and I am loving the way that it turned out!  This is a darling retro bag that can be used for many things.appliqued zippered pouch Continue reading

Sewing Room Ideas-Sneak Peek!

Today I have a little Sewing Room Ideas-Sneak Peek!

We have been in our house for more than 18 years now and I decided that this summer was going to be the time that we started doing a little bit of sprucing up again!  One of the advantages of being an empty-nester is that when all the kids leave home and go out on their own…you get to take over their empty rooms!  And believe me…I have taken over every one of my kids rooms!  :)  We have a big bonus room over the garage and I have turned it into my sewing/quilting room!  :)  It has never really been totally organized and decorated, so I decided that this was the summer to do it!sewing room-before Continue reading

Pantry Shopping List

I don’t know about you, but in the summertime when it is hot, I don’t really like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking meals…so I always like to stock my pantry, so that I can usually pull a meal together in no time at all!  Really I like to have my pantry stocked all of the time, but for some reason I tend to do it better in the summer time!

I decided that for my post today I would share a pantry shopping list that I put together:

Ric Rac Dishtowels

I was planning on doing a post about meeting the Pioneer Woman today, but I am still waiting for one photo…so I am going to post these darling dishtowels instead!  :)

Is anyone out there still working on your goals that you set?  I am still using this book, by Connie Sokol, and I am loving the fact that I set a new goal each week and then I REWARD myself!  It really seems silly that a grown woman needs a reward in order to get her goals accomplished, but guess what?  It is working…so I will keep doing it if it works!  My goal for the week was to clean out two, (yes, I have two) dishtowel drawers!  I purged the old ones and washed and ironed all of my aprons and folded everything neatly.  It looks so good, that sometimes I just open the drawer to look at how wonderful it looks!  Well my reward was that I got to make two new dishtowels.  I had this fabric from our trip last March and I still had not made them up, so I told myself that was going to be my reward…to make these darling dishtowels.
