Easter Egg Pinata

Last week the kids were out of school for spring break, so I thought that it would be fun to make a pinata for our Easter party with the two grandkids that I tend…

 WHAT WAS I THINKING?

15 Carrots!

I have some really exciting news to share with you before I get to my regular post!  This little old blog is getting a new face lift!  I am working with my web designer and I am really excited about the new changes that will be coming soon.  We are going to have a fresh new clean look and hopefully it will easier to move about my site!

So stay tuned…

Instead of doing my regular Thursday’s Thought today, I decided that it would be fun to do a paper crafting project!  And what girl wouldn’t love having 15 carats carrots for Easter?

April Conference Snack Tags

This weekend is the General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints  (the Mormons).  I love conference weekend and look forward to it every six months!  For those of you that want to know what conference is all about…you can check it out here.

I love conference weekend, because we can stay home and watch it on TV (in our jamies, if we choose to!)  Sometimes we have all of our families together and sometimes my husband and I just watch it together.  But there is always a great spirit in our home and I love the messages that are taught and the things that I can learn!

I have already downloaded and printed my conference packet from Sugardoodle and I have my conference notebook ready to go.. to take notes…doodle…and just enjoy the weekend!

It is always a must to have some great treats or food while watching conference! :)

So I decided that I would make some fun tags to go along with your conference goodies!  These are fun to pass along to your VT sisters,  or to make for your family, or friends!  You can tie them onto individual serving size packages for everyone, or make one big package for the whole family!

3-D Easter Egg Box

ScanHippity Hoppity  Easter’s on it’s Way!

I made these fun 3-d Easter egg boxes with my Silhouette Machine!  I am quite tickled that I could figure it all out, but it was so fun to do…  I can definitely see more projects like this coming in the future!

Fun Scrapbook Pages!

I  have been playing with my Silhouette machine again and taking another class from Kerri Bradford.  The class that I took to design these scrapbook pages is called Just Add Color.

I don’t really do that much scrapbooking any more, but I wanted to learn these new techniques and so I decided that it would be fun to create these pages in 8.5 x 11 format and then I could frame them in an 8 x 10 frame if I wanted to!

Feb. 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

Is it really February already? (well, almost)  My oh my, how times flies when you are having fun! :)

Here is my handout for my church’s visiting teaching handout for February.

All of the lessons this year are focused on a trait of the Savior.

I love the trait for this month:

“Good Shepherd”

I decided to use this quote from President Monson: “Ours is the responsibility to care for the flock…May we each step up to serve” but the scriptures that are quoted this month are also excellent quotes and ideas!
