My friend and I both got our Americana quilts done and we are loving them! We actually both got our Americana quilts done before the 24th of July! (Utah’s State Holiday) Which is what our goal was!

Americana Jar and Sisal Balls
Today I have a couple of fun projects just in time for your 4th of July decorating! I am going to show you how to make sisal balls in any color or size and a matching Americana jar to complete a little vignette!
Thursday’s Thought-America the Beautiful
I wanted to do an Americana print that I could print and frame or put on a wooden block, so I decided this would be a good Thursday’s thought for this week!
I am so grateful to live in this free country where I get to choose what I do everyday…I get to choose how I worship…I get to choose where I live…I get to choose how to spend my time.. and how I raised my family! There are some things that we all disagree with on how this country is run…but in the end, it is still one of the greatest countries!

I have enhanced the color and a few things on this print that are not on the PDF. If you would like to print it as seen, right click over the image and go to “save image as” then you can save in a folder and print it from there. It is formatted for an 8 x 10 image.
I think that I have a wooden block in my craft stash, so I think that this image will soon be in the making as a photo block! If you want to do this as a photo block, remember that it has to be printed with a matte finish!

I’m Proud to Be An American
September 11
Even though I was born in Canada, I have been a US citizen for many years. I am so proud of our country and all that it stands for. Today is a sad day of remembrance for all of those who lost their lives, for those children that lost a parent, for those parents that lost a child or children. It still makes me sad to think of the broken hearts that happened on this day. But then I will be forever grateful for the spirit of the American people and the determination to go forward and make this country an even better place. There was such a spirit of unity and pride and that will never be taken from us! Thanks to all of those military personnel that fought in our behalf, some paid the ultimate price for our freedom and for that I will be forever grateful.
