I just spent some very fun days with my best friend at a Sewing Retreat! We went up to the cabin for a few days of S & S. (Sewing and Shopping!)
We started out by driving up the canyon and it was just beautiful…the leaves are starting to turn colors and the weather was gorgeous! We went to our new favorite quilt shop in Midway, Utah, called My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe. We got the fabric to start a new Vintage Christmas Quilt. Continue reading
There is a new quilt shop in Midway, Utah that is called My Girlfriend’s Quilt shop. They have a wonderful assortment of fabrics and a great collection of wool fabrics, so it has become one of my favorite shops to visit! They have had a shop in Logan, Utah and now they have a second store in Midway!
They had an open house a week or so ago and so I stopped in the afternoon and I was able to meet the owner of the Logan store and her sister, Kim…as in Kimberbell! Continue reading
I finally got my Bloom Quilt finished and I love the way that it turned out!
When we were planning my dad’s 90th birthday party, he said that his favorite color was blue, so we used blue and yellow to decorate with. I found this darling quilt panel a couple of months ago when we were in St. George, Utah. I fell in love with the “glamper” fabric and knew right away that I wanted to make a “Glamper Quilt” for summer picnics, afternoons at the park and to take to the ballgames! Continue reading

This has really been a fun project because the blocks are pretty easy to do and I can get them ready for applique and then take them with me while I am on the go…I love projects like that! Today I want to show you my Bloom Quilt-Row 2.
I have been busy doing my spring cleaning all last week and the first part of this week…I only have one more closet to go and I am finished!!!! Hurray!
I feel like a new woman.
The one closet that I have left is a BIG MESS! It is my craft closet in my office and my granddaughter got in that closet the other day and she informed me that it was a mess and needed to be cleaned. I thanked her for that information and told her that I would need her help to clean it out! :) She is such a sweetheart and agreed that she would!
But I did get row 2 of my Bloom quilt done and put together: Continue reading
I have a couple of good friends that had birthdays recently, so I thought it would be fun to make them a set of Bloom Pillows!
