Vintage Christmas Trucks

I don’t usually start decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but I just couldn’t help myself with these darling Vintage Christmas Trucks!vintage-christmas-trucksIt all started when my friend, Kathy, and I decided to do our Vintage Christmas truck quilts.

(This will be coming in the next post! )vintage Christmas quiltThen my friend sent me a text of this darling truck and asked me if I wanted her to get me one!vintage Christmas truckOf course, I said yes!

Well, that got the ball rolling and I decided that I would do a vintage Christmas truck display in my kitchen for the holidays.

When I started looking, I found several different items to add to my display.   Who knew, that this was going to be the year for the vintage trucks!vintage Christmas trucksThis is on my kitchen counter right next to my little tree.  I found two plates, a salt and pepper shaker, a dishtowel and the red car is a small cookie jar!  Several of these items came from Target.Vintage Christmas trucksHere is the little tree that sits right next to the counter.  It is an old one that I had.  I took all of the old ornaments and lights off and re-made it into this fun Vintage Christmas Trucks tree!  It looks so fun at night!vintage-christmas-trucks-001 I was able to find several Vintage Christmas Trucks ornaments to decorate this little tree.  Most of them are vintage glass ornaments which makes it all the more fun!

It was fun collecting all of these Vintage Christmas trucks…vintage Christmas carThis one came from a Vintage Market that I went to last month!  The owner told me that the car was really old!vintage Christmas truckI ordered this one from the Lakeside Collection catalog.  I love that it lights up and the lights in the back by the trees change colors!  So Cute!vintage Christmas trucksThe little green truck lights up also.  I found this one at Walmart in with the Christmas village section!  Home Goods is where I found the red truck.

Have you started decorating for Christmas?  I am going to get the rest of my decorations up sometime during  the next week or so.  I always have to have them up by the first part of December because we have our Sinterklaas party to start of the holiday season!

Thanks for visiting.  Hope you have a wonderful day!

  1. Everything is so adorable. I wanted to tell you that I saw some really cute truck ornaments at Sun River Gardens and some cute truck salad plates and etc. at Harmon’s yesterday. I really enjoy your blog.

    1. Debbie, Ooh, thanks for that info! I might just have to make a couple of trips now!! :) Hope you have a great day and a Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. I know you’re not trying to put us to shame, but I can’t even think about Christmas until after I stuff my face next week. :0) Can you remember where you bought the pick up truck with the burlap wrapped Christmas tree in the truck bed? I reread it and it’s the one under the quilt, your friend bought it for you. I’d actually like to drive a real one…….wouldn’t I be somethin’? LOL

    1. Bev, I usually do not put my Christmas up until after Thanksgiving, but this year, I just couldn’t wait! :) My friend got that truck at Sam’s Club, and it is even cuter in person! It would be fun to drive a real one…I learned how to drive a stick in my dad’s old pick-up truck. Those were the days! :) Hope you have a great day and a wonderful Thanksgiving!

      1. I just checked Sam’s on line and didn’t see it, hoping to avoid driving over. I have GOT to find that little pick up. I learned to drive on my mom’s old Plymouth that had the shift on the column……..three on a tree (my hubby said it was called). We’ve driven only sticks all our lives.

        1. Bev, I hope that you can find one. I am sure that it is one of those seasonal things that you have to get before they are gone! Good luck! My best friend had a car that had the shift on the column, brings back wonderful memories!

    1. Rosanne, Thank you so much for sharing! That wreath is darling. I went to Lowe’s to look for some of the trucks, but they were all gone. :( But it is a darling idea if I can find some other trucks somewhere! Thanks for looking out for me!

  3. Just saw your vintage truck Christmas post. I am in love! I’ve never even thought of that theme and you have made it so incredibly darling. You are always amazing with any theme!
