"Love You" Valentines Bucket - Pink Polka Dot Creations

I received a sample of these fun Duck Brand® Valentine’s designs and was asked to make a project with it. I loved all of the bright colors and the knew right away that I wanted to make a “Love You” Bucket!

This is an easy project that you could do with the kids, or you could make one for each of your Valentines! You will need a new paint can. You can just get these at any local paint store.

1. These are all the fun colors that I received to work with, so there is a great selection out there to pick from!

2. I wrapped each section of the paint can with a different color. Overlap slightly in the back.

3. Cut around the handle knob to make the tape fit. I cut this section in 2 pieces to make it fit better.

To make the flowers:

1. Measure out about a 36 inch piece of tape and fold it over itself leaving about 1/4 inch of the sticky side exposed.

2. Pinch together to make tiny pleats.

3. Continue the entire length. Then coil it up into a flower using the sticky part to keep it together.

4. Add a square of tape to the back to hold it all together and finish off the back.

5. You can add a rhinestone, button, or brad to the middle.

I tied a bunch of ribbons to the handle and then I made 3 different flowers and hot glued two to the front of the bucket and one to the ribbons on the handle.

To top the lid off, I have included this free printable!

To print this, just right click over the image and go to “save image as” and save in a folder. Or you can right click over the image and go to “copy image” then open your favorite program like Word or Presentations and right click again and go to “paste” You can then print it. This page is formatted for an 8.5 x 11″ page, so you can just print your own and cut it out. I just used a piece of tape rolled up to stick the label to the lid!
