Summer Flip Flop Wreath

This week I have a few ideas for some outdoor summer decor that I have been working on.   Summer is almost here and the kids will all be out of school soon, so I guess I have just been in the mood to make my little world a little more summery!

I wanted a new wreath for my front door that was bright and summery.  I have done a lot of patriotic things in the past but chose to go with the bright fun summer colors this year!I got this wood piece at the Wood Connection.  (My new (old) favorite place, now that they have another store closer to my house.)  I simply painted it and added the scrapbook paper to the front.  Glittered the flower, added a few jewels and added ribbons.  It was meant to hang solo with a wire or ribbon, but I thought that It would look cute on a wreath with just a little bit of greenery and a touch of color! So this is how my front porch looks with the wreath on the front door and my flower pots that we made here.  I cannot believe how much my big pots have grown in just the last couple of weeks.  The creeping Jenny is already starting to spill over the sides!

Stay tuned for one more project that I have done to finish off my porch!

To me this just says…Welcome Summer!
