Valentines Subway Art

Is it too early to put out Valentine decorations?  I know the stores had them out the day before Christmas, but that is just plain crazy!  I know that there are a few of these already out there in blog land but I wanted to create my own version of a Valentines subway art.  It was fun to create and I think that perhaps I shall have to try my hand at this for Easter!

I found this frame at the dollar store and I spray painted it with a Krylon, red gloss paint.  The color really adds to the overall look of this project.

Here is the printable for you to use!  Just right click and go to copy, then open your favorite program like Word, or Presentations and right click again and go to paste.  The original is 8 x 10, but you can re-size it to whatever you would like.  I had mine printed on glossy card  stock and I think it looks great!

I have mine on my kitchen counter and it really brightens up my kitchen on these cold, dreary, winter days and makes me happy! :)   These would be a great little gift for teachers, friends, sisters, SELF etc!

  1. Hi Rita I love, love, love your website!!! Thank you so much for all the wonderful VT handouts, my sisters love them!

I have purchased a 16×20 inexpensive picture frame for my Subway art and would love to have your Valentines Day one in a 16×20 is there a possibility you could make one larger? If not, I have the smaller one displayed already. Thanks again, what you do is awesome!!!!

    1. Kathy, Thanks for your kind comment and for your support,I appreciate both. But I am sorry to say that my computer crashed since I made that Subway Art, so all that I have is the saved one, that is not editable.

  2. I love this! I’m doing a round-up of Valentine’s printables. Is there any chance I could use an image (not the one of the actual printable, of course, one that has other stuff in it so people couldn’t print directly) as part of the post and round-up?
I’m already linking you but thought the image would be great to go with it!

    1. Jennie, Yes you can use one of the images for a roundup post, as long as you link back which you said you are doing. Thanks for the round-up! Happy Valentines Day!
