Fun Scrapbook Pages!

I  have been playing with my Silhouette machine again and taking another class from Kerri Bradford.  The class that I took to design these scrapbook pages is called Just Add Color.

I don’t really do that much scrapbooking any more, but I wanted to learn these new techniques and so I decided that it would be fun to create these pages in 8.5 x 11 format and then I could frame them in an 8 x 10 frame if I wanted to!

In these classes I learned how to use white pages and then add a “pop” of color on each of the pages!  I am still amazed by all the things that I can do with my fun new toy!

On this page, I cut out the flower page to make the background.  Then I designed each of the elements with the help of Kerri, of course! :)

If any of my family is looking at this page, I am not sure on the year, so don’t write this down for documentation!  This is a picture of my mom when she was just a little girl, and I am just guessing that she is about 2 years old, but I really do not know.

But isn’t she just the cutest, with her hat, sitting on a wooden crate holding her little kitty?  I love this picture!

This page was fun to make because I learn how to use dingbats as a page element.  The ink spots are a dingbat font and you can manipulate them just like a shape!  So Cool!

I learned how to design the tab a couple of different ways.  That is what is great about these classes, you do not just go buy a shape from the Silhouette store, but rather, you learn how to create your own and how to manipulate them any way that you want!

(I need new family pictures!  These are several years old!  Hint, hint to my family!)

This last page is my granddaughter’s baptism.  I cut out the honeycomb shape right on the background page, then I backed it with the tan floral.  I then was able to “pick” the color from the sash on her dress to design the “Genuine” accent and the 2013 tab.  I backed the word “baptism” with a small rectangle that I just printed so that it would match the other two accents, thus creating the visual triangle!  Another tip that Kerri teaches!  I framed this and gave it to her and she loved it!

So even if you do not scrapbook much anymore, you can design fun pages and frame them!

These make a very thoughtful gift!

I have one more class to complete and then I think that I have done all of her classes!  I sure hope there are more in the works! :)

Do any of you scrapbook anymore?  If not, you can still design fun pages and give them away or frame them for your home!

Well, I guess that I had better go get my “work” done so that I can start “playing” with my new toy again!

Have a great day everyone!
