Fairy Garden 2017

Fairy Garden 2017

I have been working out in the yard this last week planting some of my garden and some of my flower pots.  I also had 2 of my grandchildren for 3 days and they wanted to help.  We bought some new things for the Fairy Garden 2017 and some new plants!

They were so excited to put it all together and I think it turned out darling!fairy garden 2017We added a few new things from last years fairy garden.

It adds so much color and dimension!fairy garden 2017My grandson picked out the gnome!  It is a fun whimsical flair!

Succulents are the main plants in the garden.  We have a cactus that looks like a flowering bush.    Another succulent that looks like a tree on one corner of the house.  And others to add great texture and colors!fairy garden 2017My youngest granddaughter picked out the fairy friends.  She loved that one!fairy garden 2017The mailbox, bike, table and chairs and stone pathway are all from last year.  Also the house is from last year too!fairy garden 2017So…welcome to the garden!

A fairy garden is a fun way to try out different plants and let the kid in you come back to life!

I am new to fairy gardening, but have enjoyed learning how to put one together. Of course collecting fun little trinkets to put out in the garden is half of the fun.  What do you put in your fairy garden?

Thanks for Visiting!

  1. Hi Rita, where do you find your supplies. I found some at ShopKo last year but I need to find some more and can’t . We are having our reunion in the mountains this summer and I am hiding fairy gardens throughout the woods. Can’t wait! Yours is so darling!

  2. My husband has been doing fairy gardens for about six months. He puts dragons and frogs in his fairy gardens. He has made about six gardens and in the process of making three more. He also made one with a working fountain. We clean and paint many of the trinkets we put in the gardens. Yours is pretty.

    1. Vertta, You really have the Fairy Garden Bug!!! They sound darling with the dragons and frogs and a working fountain! Thanks for sharing! Hope you have a wonderful day.

  3. I’ve been bitten by the fairy garden bug as well. I love how yours turned out. Where did you find the puppy with the butterfly on his nose…so cute!

    1. Debbie, I found that at Linden Nursery last year. They have a good selection of fairy garden trinkets! It is in Lindon, Utah. Good luck with your garden!
