Wildflowers in Utah Mountains

A week ago my husband and I were at our cabin and the wildflowers in the Utah mountains were absolutely stunning!  We had quite a wet spring and so the wildflowers got watered and when the sun came out they were such a beautiful sight!  I was going to pick a big bouquet and bring them inside, but decided that I would just enjoy them in all their natural settings!wildflowers at cabin 2015I love the picture in the top right corner..the big bunch of yellow daisies in the foreground and the burnt out trees in the back.  Even though the grasses and the wildflowers are flourishing, there is a stark reminder that there was a big wildfire here two years ago!wildflowers at cabin 2015-001There are just so many colors and textures!  This is total “eye-candy” for me!  Even some of the grasses had little yellow blooms!  I am just amazed at all of the different wildflowers we have in our Utah mountains!wildflowers at cabin 2015-002I discovered a choke cherry tree that I never knew was there before…and it is loaded with choke cherries!  I think that I will need to make some pancake syrup this fall! :)mountain sunsetI went for a small walk along our long driveway and when I got back to the top…this was the view that greeted me!  I just absolutely love this view!  I can sit anywhere out on the deck and just enjoy all the beauties that nature so generously gives to me!  I am a very lucky girl to be able to see this site often!  I count my lucky stars the day that we decided to build our cabin, but never knew the joy and solitude that it would give back to me.

Take time today to smell the wildflowers…you’ll be glad you did!

Thanks for visiting!  Happy Monday!

  1. Gorgeous pictures. Thank you for reminding me of the beauties of nature that I so often take advantage of and miss their beauty. I don’t have anything like this but it makes me grateful for what I do have.

    1. Debby, It is amazing to me all the beautiful things that nature provides for us, if we will just look around us! Thank you for taking the time to write your kind comment. I really appreciate it and love hearing from you.
