Bloom Quilt

I have been working on my Bloom Quilt and I am excited to say that I am all caught up to date!  Yeah!  Today I have rows 3 & 4 to show you.  This has really been a fun project because the blocks are pretty easy to do and I can get them ready for applique and then take them with me while I am on the go…I love projects like that!bloom quilt rows 3 & 4This is the Lori Holt #bloomquilt that she is doing, it is a block every week in a sew-along!bloom quilt row 3This is row three.  I got a little bit behind on this row and I ended up doing all four blocks at the same time!  It worked out fine because I could take all of the blocks with me while I was traveling and do the hand work!  :)bloom quilt row 4This is row 4.  I love the blue daisy flower because the petals are made out of hearts…so cute!bloom quiltHere is a close-up of some of the blocks!  I have been following along with Lori, but she has changed up some of the block borders from the original pattern and I knew that somewhere along the line I was going to get two fabrics that were the same in the same row…sure enough…but it is okay because there are so many different fabrics going on that it isn’t all that noticeable.bloom quilt rows 1, 2, 3 & 4Here are rows 1,2 3 and 4 of the Bloom Quilt!   We only have one more row (4 blocks) to go and then the borders that will go all the way around the quilt!  We should be done by the end of May!  I am truly loving these blocks and all the fun things that you can make with them like these pillows and this picture!

I love the colors in this quilt because they are bright and cheery, but they also have a vintage look to them!  I can’t wait to get this one done and quilted, it will be perfect for display on one of my couches!

Do you have a project that makes you Bloom?  I hope that you are able to do something that makes you happy!
