Cherry Table Quilt

I have a fun little table quilt that I have been working on for the last year!  One of my girlfriend’s gave me the pattern and we have both been working on them together, it is so fun to have a friend that likes to do what you do!  I guess that is why we are best friends! :)

Cherry Table Quilt

This is such a fun quilt with the embroidered center and the appliqued cherries in each corner!  It is perfect for summer with the bright reds and greens!

All the stitching is what takes the most time.  I took this to the cabin with me every weekend that we went and worked on it while watching TV in the cold winter months, so I always had something to just pick up and work on.  It was fun to have such a cheery project to work on!

Each corner had these appliqued cherries and leaves in the corners.  I was very hesitant to quilt this, for fear of ruining all my stitching, but I just used a white thread on the white background, so the quilting does not show up as much in the center!  I think that it turned out pretty cute after all!

Here it is on my kitchen table.  I always have a hard time photographing anything on my table because of all the windows.  I get a lot of light and shadows, but it really shows up cute in real life!

So now my kitchen table is all dressed up for the summer months!

This pattern is from Oh My Bloomin’ Threads! The name of the pattern is Cherries-N-Tea, Sweet As Can Be!  They have some darling quilts, pillows and fun stitching patterns on this site, you might just want to check it out!

This really was a fun project and I need to find another one that I can just take with me on the go…so I am now on the lookout!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Thanks for Visiting!

  1. When I saw your quilt it made me wish I had some patience. LOL
I love it. The only way I would have be able to make one would have been to be the third wheel in your little quilting party. Beautiful, beautiful work.

    1. Bev, thank you for your kind comment. Maybe I need to do a group quilt all together, where everyone can report their progress! We could have our own little online quilting bee! :)
