Darling Chevron Christmas Quilt

I have a WIP (work in progress) quilt to show you today.  I wanted to show it to you now in case anyone else wants to make one of these for the holidays!

It was a fun quilt to make and I was able to complete the top in two weekends!  So it actually goes together quite fast!

Darling Chevron Christmas Quilt:

When you sew this quilt together, you sew the rows in diagonal strips.  It was a little bit tricky laying out the pattern, but once you figure out the first row,  you just lay the rest out and it goes together really fast!

This is what I am going to use for the back and the binding.  The back is the green and the polka dot is the binding.  I have sent this quilt to the quilters, so when I get it back, I will post the final project!

If anyone is interested in making one of these, here is a full length tutorial.  This is from The Little Fabric Blog and she gives great instructions with a full length tutorial on how to make this quilt!

So does anyone want to make this darling Christmas Chevron Quilt?

What Christmas projects do you have in the works?

Happy Quilting Everyone!  Love Ya!

This post is from pink polka dot creations. If you are not reading it from our feed, it has been STOLEN. Please contact Rita to let us know.  Enjoy this post.

    1. I am not sure, but I think that it was only about crib size. That is why I added the 3 borders. I wanted it more of a lap quilt. But I have already sent it to the quilter, so I cannot measure it until I get it back.

  1. I found your post over at Sugar Bee Crafts. And I was so excited to see a quilt. I love quilts, and I love making them. Your quilt came out quite lovely. And what an interesting way to create chevrons. I make mine using HSTs.

    1. Yes, I have never done a quilt on the diaganol before, but it was really a fun quilt to do! Thanks so much for your comment! I love hearing from you

  2. Oh my gosh, I love that quilt! Wish I had the patience to sew other than the simplest projects. It’s lame that I am so impatient!

I am jumping over from My Crazy Beautiful Life’s blog link party and am your newest follower. I love all of your sewing projects, especially those ruffled pillows. Ruffles are some of my most favorite things!
