Give Thanks Pillows

I have one last project for Thanksgiving before moving on to Christmas.  But, this project is one of those “oops” projects!  Last weekend my husband and I went to our cabin for a few days, my husband went hunting on our family property while I worked on projects at the cabin.  I got a lot of things accomplished and I was feeling pretty good about myself, until I got home and discovered a mistake in the pillows that I had made!Give Thanks PillowsI made these pillows out of this fun canvas chevron print.   They are 18″ square,  I just cut out two squares for each pillow and sewed all around the edges leaving enough room to turn them right side out.   I cut the glitter vinyl out with my silhouette machine and just ironed them on…and they look really cute…but…this is what I wanted the finished product to be:Give Thanks pillowsI had three pillows, with the gray one saying-“In All Things”.  The gold vinyl did not show up as much as I had hoped it would…and in fact it must not have shown up well at all…because I did not even notice this until I was taking pictures! In all things pillowI have no idea where the “I” in things went! Give Thanks PillowsSo for now…I have two pillows that say “Give Thanks”  :)

I need to cut another “I” and iron it on, but I have not done it yet.  So I guess that my great working weekend was not as successful as I was thinking it was.

I hope that you have a successful weekend and that your projects turn out a little bit better than mine did!  It is not a total failure, just a setback.  :)

Thanks for visiting today!
