Halloween Bench Pillow

I made a new Halloween Bench Pillow last week, so I am ready to start decorating for this fun fall holiday!  I have 3 holidays that I love to decorate for…Halloween, Christmas and the 4th of July!  I have been waiting to put out my Halloween, but my granddaughter told me that she would help me put it all out today, after she gets home from school!  I am so lucky to have such a great helper!Halloween Bench Pillow

This is a Kimberbell’s Pattern.

It has applique, quilting, and fun dimensional accessories.  I had a fun time making this pillow…I should have been quilting some of the quilts from our Girls’s Retreat…but this was way too much fun!  :)

Here is a close-up of my Halloween Bench Pillow:Halloween Bench PillowI love the candy corn flowers!  They are a darling way to incorporate candy corns into this pillow!Halloween Bench PillowAnd who doesn’t love ric-rac?  This is another fun dimension on this pillow.  The bottom and the top borders are pieced and then the whole pillow top is quilted before assembling it all together.Halloween Bench PillowIt looks fun outside on this bench…but I put too much work into it to leave it out in the weather.Halloween Bench PillowSo it will reside on the couch in the living room.  I love the pop of blue with this!

This Halloween Bench Pillow is the start of my Halloween decorations.  I bought a couple of fun things during our Girl’s Retreat weekend, so I am excited to put it all together!  I have way too many Halloween decorations, but the grandkids love them, so for now, I will continue to put them all out!

Do you love to decorate for Halloween?  I love to decorate…but I am not very big on dressing up!  I will leave that to the kids!  :)

Thanks for visiting today!  Hope you are having a Marvelous Monday!

How is everybody doing on your 40 Day Conference Reading Challenge?  We only have this week left…so keep up the great work!  :)

    1. ME, The only ones that I teach sewing to are my granddaughters! :) I have helped other people with a certain project here and there, but I have not taught sewing lessons. I don’t really know if I would ever start that adventure or not.

  1. I am working on there also. She is so talented with her designs. I still have a lot to go.I am making five of each for Christmas.
Thanks for sharing your version. I haven’t seen any that I didn’t like.

    1. Ruth, Kimberbell has many great patterns and they are all so fun. It sounds like you have a lot to do before Christmas! Good luck with your sewing projects…they will be a lot of fun to make!

  2. Did you quilt it yourself? I don’t have a long arm, but my sewing machine can quilt. I’m scared to mess up such a cute pillow!

    1. Janette, I did quilt my pillow. I have a long arm, but I am still learning. It makes me nervous to do some of my projects, but I figure I will never learn if I do not try!
