Halloween Table Runner

I saw this pattern a couple of weeks ago and being the Halloween nut that I am, I decided that I needed to make it!  It does not matter that I have so many Halloween quilts and table runners already that I have to lay them on the backs of chairs!   I just could not resist the cuteness of this one!Halloween Table RunnerI got this pattern at Pine Needles in Gardner Village, Utah.  But you can order the pattern here.  It is from family ties designs.  I love the embroidered blocks and the applique blocks and the combo of both of them!  So fun and it was easy to do!   Unless you are a super fast sewer, it might be getting a little bit late to make this now, but you could get the pattern and start on it for next Halloween! :)DSC_0998The finished size in 40 1/2 ” x 12 1/2″.  So it is pretty long.  I had a hard time getting a good picture of it all because of the length!  But I had a couple of cute volunteers to hold it for me…well, maybe they did not volunteer…maybe they were coerced!Halloween Table Runner collageBut here is a collage of all of the blocks!

I only had to buy a couple of orange pieces of fabric, because I had enough scraps left over from other projects, that it was quite inexpensive for me to make this runner!!  :)  After I got all the blocks sewn and put together, I simply added a scrap of minky for the back when I quilted it.  I did not add batting in between because I thought the minky would give it enough body…if I were to do it again…I would add the batting for more stability.Halloween table runnerHere it is on my kitchen table.  All I need to do now is to fill that bowl full of candy!

Happy Haunting Everyone!

    1. No, I am sorry, I do not have time to make any of the sewing projects to sell. I did include where to buy the pattern, if you would like to make one.
