It is Not Happy People…

Happy Friday everyone!  I thought that today I would just share a thought that I have posted before, but it is a great one to think about- It is Not Happy People…It is not happy people...

I love the autumn time and the beautiful colors.  This picture was taken in front of my house and I love these beautiful trees that line our neighborhood.  And so it is with a grateful heart, that I decided on this thought for the week!  We need to all remember…It is Not Happy People…  We all need to work on being a little more thankful in all things, including me!  I am grateful for the many blessings that my family and I have… and even though they are hard…I am thankful for the trials too, because they make us all stronger.  I am even thankful for these beautiful trees…that is until I have to start raking all those leaves!  :)

I hope that you are all having a great day and that you have some wonderful plans for the weekend!  We have a baptism for one of our cute granddaughters, so that will be fun!  I hope that all of you get to do something that you love with someone that you love!

Thanks for Visiting!

Thursday’s Thought-Autumn is like…

I love the fall time!

I love the changing of the seasons and the fact that it is starting to cool down at night.  I  love the leaves turning colors, football games, hot chocolate, bonfires, and all of the fall holidays!  I have not always loved fall however, when I was younger, it seemed like kind of a depressing time with all the leaves and flowers “dying”.  The kids would go off to school and my husband used to hunt a lot and it just seemed like a lonely time…WHAT WAS I THINKING???   I am so glad that I can see the  beauty of the Autumn weather and enjoy all the changes that this season brings.  I guess that I just needed to be old enough to accept change and see all the good in that!  Just as in life, we need to accept change and look for the good things around us!Autumn is like I love this thought!  Isn’t it so true?!

Happy Thursday everyone and thanks for visiting today!

A Beautiful Autumn Day!

Okay, last week was one of those weeks!  It was very busy…not necessarily stressful…just busy.  I know that all of you have those weeks sometimes and by the end of the week you are just exausted, right?

My week started out on Monday by bottling and freezing peaches and tending kids.  It was so good to get my canning done.  We picked the peaches the Sat. before and I got 5 boxes of peaches off my little tree this year!  Then on Tuesday, I cleaned out all of my pantry…so that I could put my new bottled fruit on one of the shelves.  Wed. I went with my dad for his cataract surgery and Wed night I had to give a short talk at a Relief Society activity for my church.   I thought that I was going to bottle my dad’s peaches for him on Thursday…but my dear sweet sister sent me a text and told me that she and dad had gotten them all done on Wed. night!  I am so lucky to have such a great sister! :)  So on Thursday I went to see how my dad was doing and we took a little trip down to the  food bank (after cleaning out my pantry on Tues!)  On Friday my husband and I usually like to go to our property in the mountains and then to our cabin, but my husband was inducted into the Lehi High School Hall of Fame, during the halftime of the homecoming football game that night!  He was given this award for all of his service and time he has spent with the sports programs in Lehi throughout a great many years.  It was quite an honor and we are proud of him!

Fall Chalkboard Door

I love the fall time!

I love the cooler weather and I love the leaves changing colors and I love that the yard work is soon coming to an end! :)  I also love to decorate for the fall holidays!  Even though some days it still feels like summer, the evenings cool down and you can tell that fall is in the air.  So I decided that it was time to change up my chalkboard door for Autumn!Fall Chalkboard Door Continue reading

Seasonal Banners

One of the crafts that we did at our retreat  this last weekend were these darling seasonal banners!

One for each of the seasons, plus a “Celebrate” banner!  They are all so cute, but I absolutely love the colors in the Autumn one!
