Sweet Treat Bag!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season.
Does everyone have everything all organized and put away? Not me…I am still working on that!! :(
One of my granddaughters came and helped me one day and we got a good portion done…I just need to get it finished!
But, who needs to clean… when you have a fun little project to start out this new year!!
Does anyone out there want a fun beginner sewing project for the summer??? This Hipster Bag Pattern from Riley Blake is just the thing you need then! This project is perfect for beginning seamstresses and is a fun project for those that already know how to sew too! Continue reading
On Monday, I told you about my fun week last week…well, today I have one of the sweet purchases that I made!
I found this at “All that stuff in the Barn” in Midway, Utah.
I love this beautiful burlap pillow wrap! It is so simple, yet so sophisticated.
Do you need a last minute table runner for your Thanksgiving dinner, or perhaps you would like to make one for Christmas…or any occasion for that matter. Well, here is a tutorial on how to make a “Super Easy Table Runner!” This project is wonderful for a beginning seamstress or great for someone that is advanced!

I have been tending grandkids for 9 straight days and I am totally worn out! I guess that is why you have your children when you are young, so that you can kind of keep up with them! :) They have been really good kids, but I am exhausted. We went to the park, had picnics, went to our cabin overnight, had our Easter party, went to another Easter party, learned how to do a rainbow loom…made lots of bracelets, went shopping, went to church and I carpooled kids from school! Oh and we also watched after 3 birds! I forgot how much time and ENERGY it takes to keep up with little kids! So my praise goes out to all of you that are raising small children…keep up the great job!
Needless to say, I have not done many projects this last week, but I do have one very simple sewing project for you today:
I used to decorate for all the holidays when my children were at home, but now I usually decorate a lot for Halloween… a little bit for Thanksgiving… for Christmas I still go all out… and then I kind of just go spring/Easter and Summer/Patriotic.
But I still like to have a few decorations and candies in my kitchen for each holiday! So for Valentines day, I decided to make up these darling button trimmed dishtowels! I got the supplies for these last spring, when we went on our trip to Arizona. My husband basically took me on my very own, private, quilt shop hop on that trip! We went to about 15 different quilt shops while we were there for Spring Baseball, it was like having the best of both worlds! :)
So here are my button trimmed dishtowels:
