When the weather starts to cool down and the leaves start to turn colors, I get in the mood to cook again, so today I thought that I would just do a round-up of some of my favorite fall recipes that I have posted in the past. These are all tried and true recipes that my family all love!
This recipe is from my mom, who was an excellent cook. She cooked a hot homemade meal for us every night and she always made everything taste so good! My mom was a great teacher and I thank her for her patience and willingness to let us cook in her kitchen! (Some days I really miss my mom) I hope that I followed her example by allowing my kids to feel free to cook and experiment in my kitchen. I hope that you will let your kids cook with you and that you can share some fun memories in the kitchen, because that is where we spend so much time together as a family.
This recipe is one of those good comfort foods that I turn to a lot of times. It is easy to make, yet is a good hearty soup that will fill you up and make you feel oh so good!
