Before I tell you all about these cookies…I have had several people ask about the 40 day conference reading challenge. The bookmarks will be ready this week! The challenge will start next week and end the Sunday before April conference. Can you believe that we are only 40+ days away from April???
Now onto today’s post…
Do you need a super easy…fun…yummy…

My family absolutely loves Chocolate Butterscotcharoo Bars, so when I saw a recipe for Chocolate Butterschotcharoo cookies…I knew that I just had to try them. And they did not disappoint…no, not even a little tiny bit! :) I have to make this recipe when I know that I have lots of people to help eat them or I know I can give away a couple of platefuls.
I had a Relief Society activity last week and we served fruit pizza. They were so yummy and they looked so beautiful! There were extra cookies and frosting…so I volunteered to take the plain cookies home. (I know…that was nice of me…right, hey, everyone else took the fruit cookies home!) I froze the cookies and the frosting and saved them for our Sunday dinner! Continue reading
I went shopping the other day at a little specialty grocery store called, Meiers Meats & Fine Foods, in Highland, Utah. They always have such fun little treats, cookies, breads, and cute gift ideas…as well as wonderful meats!
I picked up a bag of mini cinnamon chips and just could not wait to try them out in some cookies! You can buy cinnamon chips at most groceries stores in the baking aisle by the chocolate chips.
I tried these out on my husband, who was skeptical at first, and then ended up loving them. Then I tried them out on a granddaughter that thinks there in nothing better than a Snickerdoodle cookie and she also was hooked on these!
This recipe is from On Sugar Mountain and it has the addition of cornstarch, which she says will keep your cookies soft and fresh for a longer time. I don’t know if that is true because these cookies did not last long enough to find out! :) Continue reading
I had a really fun sleepover/baking class for my granddaughters the other day. They loved it and it turned out to be a really fun time for everyone! Continue reading
I made these lemon cookies for our Sunday dinner yesterday and they were so refreshing with the lemon juice and the lemon zest! Perfect to welcome in springtime, don’t you think?
I must really have Valentines on the brain this week, because this is the 4th Valentines post this week!
There must be love in the air here!
Today I have these yummy M&M’s Valentine cookies. This recipe has been in our family for a long time. The name of these cookies on my recipe card is: “Leora’s Chocolate Chip Cookies” This is a nickname that I have had for my sister for a long time, I don’t really even remember where it came from, but I remember saying “Leora” in a mocking tone every time I called her that! Some things just never go away, do they?
Anyway, here is my version of these yummy cookies:
Yesterday I talked about all the different Christmas candies that I used to make with my mom when she was still here. Today, I have a cookie recipe that I am sure a lot of you have made, but it is one that we used to make all the time just for Christmas! These fun little morsels are so pretty on a plate and I am sure that is why my mom made them all of the time; they just look festive!
This is a great dessert to make because it looks like you went to a lot of work, when you really didn’t! So if you want to impress your family, friends, co-workers or neighbors, just make this dessert! :)
This is just a basic Toll House Cookie recipe that you bake as pan cookies, so that is why they are so easy! I used butter in these to give them that rich, buttery flavor!
