I mentioned when I did the Visiting Teaching handout that I had lemons on the brain, so today I thought I would share this fun dessert that I made last week…Sugar Cookie Lemon Tarts! It doesn’t get a whole lot better than sugar cookie tarts filled with a lemon filling and topped with whipped cream! I have a couple of other recipes that I want to try out this next week…there is just something about lemons that are so refreshing in the hot summer months! I love the tartness of lemons along with a bit of sweet, it is just very refreshing! Continue reading
The last post I did, I talked about our Summer Bucket list…and one of the things on the list was to create a new recipe. So my granddaughter came up with this delicious rendition of rice crispie squares called, “Cinnamon Honey Butter Crispies”! Continue reading
My neighbor gave me some fresh blackberries from her garden, so I decided to try making a Blackberry Nectarine Cobbler! It was so delicious! I loved the tartness of the fruit with the sweetness of the crumble topping and the creamy whipped cream…Pure Heaven!
My dad gave me a bowlful of blackberries before we went on our trip and I put them in the freezer because I did not have time to do anything with them before we left. But in Washington and Oregon blackberries just grow wild everywhere and I kept seeing restaurants that had blackberry cobbler on their dessert menu. So I have had blackberry cobbler on the mind and have been craving this dessert ever since we got home.. I finally got the blackberries out and I had a couple of peaches that I needed to use up, and these two fruits together make the perfect combination for a cobbler!
Have you seen these recipes all over blog land lately? They all look so delicious that I decided that I would like to try one of them and see what all of the fuss is about. I like ice cream, but I usually only need a taste or two to be satisfied. This recipe is so rich and decadent, that it kept me going back for more!
