What is Your Story?

I attended a conference last weekend called Story@Home.  It was held in Salt Lake City at the Conference center and at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.  It was a family history, story telling and blogging conference.  I learned a ton of new things and I had a great time. One of my cute DIL’s  went with me and we had a good time together.

The main speaker that I wanted to see was Leigh Anne, from Your Homebased Mom. She has a really fun blog and I learned more from her, hands down, than from any of the other classes that I attended!  Her focus was on blogging your passion and love what you do.  She helped me as a fairly new blogger to have a better perspective of what to expect in following my blogging dreams.  She is so cute and down to earth and realistic and I just really seem to relate to her!

Story@ Home Conference

I am excited to tell you about a conference that I am going to attend this weekend.  It is called Story@Home 2012.  It is being held in Salt Lake City, UT at Temple square.

Home

This is the description of the conference:

Blogging • Family History • Storytelling

“No matter how you tell your stories – through your family history, at your child’s bedside, on your blog, or from a stage – your stories matter. Join us for a conference that will change the way you see your stories and the world, and help you connect in new ways with those you cherish most.

Workshops and performances by award-winning storytellers, performers and speakers, will help you explore ways to use the power of story in your home. You’ll be able to record your own story, start on some research to learn more about your family’s history, get started on a blog and learn how to tell your story through social media.”

If you are anywhere in the area, there are still tickets available here: Story@Home.  One of the speakers is Leigh Anne from your homebased mom.  She has a fun blog that I have followed for a long time, so I am excited to get to meet her and to listen to her class!

If any of you are attending, please come and say hi if you see me.  I would love to meet you!
