Christmas Window Treatments

I am excited today, to show you a really fun, easy way to decorate your windows for the holidays.  This project  is not only easy and inexpensive, but it is a great way to add some Christmas decor to your windows that looks festive not only from inside of your house but the outside as well!  It is super easy to do and I had almost everything I needed already at home!  Bonus!

Washi Cupcake Stands

I have been cleaning, organizing and throwing out a bunch of stuff all last week.  It feels so good.  I cleaned out my office/craft room and a big closet, cupboards and drawers.  Then I started in the kitchen and now  I need to keep going and get my kitchen all done.  That is my next goal.  I love it when I get the cleaning bug and can get a lot done because I really don’t get it very often, so I had better go for it while I can!  When you clean everything out, you can see what you have (or rather how much you have!) and so when I organized all of  my washi tape I decided that I needed to do a project with some of it!

So here is fun little  idea using your washi tape that would be perfect for a little tea party, a shower, a birthday, or even for weddings!

Cute “Be Mine” Banner

Today I have another Valentines Project that I have been working on.

This fun “Be Mine” Banner:

It is about 3 feet long, so it was hard to get a great picture of the whole thing together! But it is cute because it is that long!  It looks great and makes a statement all on its own, but you could add some fun heart decorations to go with it too!  I think that I am going to find some kind of lights and a garland to go with mine for my mantle, but I wanted to get this post out to you so you could make one if you want to!  (So you get the plain version!)

Light-up Christmas Lantern

I got a few lanterns at Ikea a while back for the holidays.  I made up a couple of them and I love the way they look and the ambiance that they create with the lights in them.  They just glow so pretty with the stars cut out of the top of the lanterns!  I am really a sucker for lights in my house.  I have them everywhere, even when it is not Christmas!

Cute Monogram Pumpkin Door Hanging

I love, love, love to decorate for Halloween but I think that it is still a bit too early for that so I decided that I could at least put out a few fall decorations!  This is a pumpkin that I made for my front door.  I love that I can put it out now, take it down for Halloween, then put it back up for November!

I am loving the monograms lately for some reason and this one just jumped out at me!

Ribbon Topiary

I am so excited about this project because the main material used is RIBBON, and you all know how I feel about ribbon!  :)

I am using this as part of my decor for outside on my front porch but you could use it in so many  other ways.  They would be great as decorations for a party or shower,  you could do it in a color theme for all the different holidays.  Red, white and blue for the summer, maroon and green for Christmas, pink or blue for baby showers, or just use the colors in your home for a fun home decor accent! Spring Letters

I found these fun letters at the Wood Connection before my trip to Arizona.  I like that they say “Spring” , so that I can keep them out until May!  My daughter and I got together and painted these letters yesterday. (do you like the mess, big chill cup and all) We used the easy paint technique here, that I used for the “Family” letters so I am not going to give a tutorial in this post.

I love these fun papers and the cute design in the letters! Especially the letter “i”.  And of course I love the ribbons on some of the letters.
This picture has been enhanced, but I love the fun vibrant colors.  I put these fun letters on my kitchen table and every time I walk by I feel like I have a early glimpse of spring right there in my kitchen!  It makes me happy.   We only use our kitchen table on Sunday when everyone comes over for dinner, so I do not have to move them every time we eat! :)

My daffodils are blooming, my tulips are all up and starting to bloom, my garden is starting to sprout…I think that spring is really going to come!

So what makes you happy for spring?
