Before I begin my post with the visiting teaching message, I would like to wish you all a very safe and fun Labor Day! It is always fun to celebrate the last summer weekend and I hope that you get to spend it with someone you love…doing something that you love to do! I spent the weekend at my most favorite boutique…Swiss Days! I will share some of my finds with you tomorrow. But let’s get on with the visiting teaching message for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints:
It’s time once again for the visiting teaching handout for my church.
This month the message is Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Minister.
I really love this message this month, because so many great things happen when we minister to each other! We truly can be the answer to other people’s prayers and what a great feeling that is! I chose to focus on the quote from David L. Beck:
June 2014 VT
This month for your visiting teaching message you will need to pick your favorite conference talk to discuss with your sisters, so I decided just to do a general card that you can hand out with any talk that you choose. With it being November, I went with a “thankful” theme. We all have many blessings that we need to be thankful for, one of them being the fact that we have a general conference twice a year with a living prophet to lead our church! I love conference weekend and the wonderful spirit that I feel every time I listen to our leaders.
So with that being said, I hope that you can show your gratitude to your sisters for all of your blessings.
Here is my visiting teaching handout for this month.
This is a message that the sisters of the church take out to each other when they go to visit them each month.
The message for this month is about welfare. The thought that I used is the one by President Erying, I love the overall message of this quote. There has always been a way provided for us to help others. We need to just keep our eyes and our hearts open to those around us that we could serve!
