Jan. 2016 Visiting Teaching Handout

Jan. 2016 Visiting Teaching Handout

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope that you are having a great day.

Here we are at the first of a new year and another month…so it is time for the Jan. 2016 Visiting Teaching Handout, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  The theme this month is  “The Family: A Proclamation to the World.

I chose to go with a “Frosty” theme, since it is winter here, and what a winter we are having!Jan 2016 VT handoutI focused on the quote from Carole M. Stevens because I love that it talks about the premortal realm and how we all lived with our Heavenly Father and loved and worshipped Him…That includes everyone of us on the earth!  We all belong to an eternal family and we are all needed!
Jan-2016-VT-handoutHere is the Jan. 2016 visiting teaching handout message card.  It is formatted to a 4 x 6 card.  If you would like to print as a jpeg, picture, right click over the image and go to “save image as”  then save in a folder.  You can then print your own or send it out to your favorite processing center.

Jan-2016-VT-handout-blankHere is the blank card for those of you that would like to translate or for those of you that need a cute “frosty” card, invite, or handout!

Jan 2016 VTJan 2016 VT handoutI tied a bow onto a Hostess “Snowball” for a fun little treat.  Another idea that you could do is to find a fun picture frame and frame the proclamation and then tell your sister that she could swap it out for her family picture as a reminder of how important families are!

As always…it is the visit that is important…not the handout!  Make sure that your sisters know how much you love and care about them!  Let’s all make a goal at the first of this new year to do our best with our visiting teaching!

 Thanks for Visiting Today!

  9. Do u have ‘ahead’ Visiting Teaching handouts for 2016? My companion and I try to always do our VT the first weekend of the month. I just found your site, and think I’m going to love it. Thank you!

    1. Susan, I post the visiting teaching handout on the 1st day of each month. I do not have access to the message more than a few days ahead of that, so I do not have “ahead” messages made up. Hope you have a great day and Happy Visiting this month! Rita

  11. I just want to thank you for the service that you “give” to us who are a little techno impaired. I use your VT handout messages every month for “my girls” whom I visit. I always tell them where they originated so that they can follow you on Pinterest. You are very generous with your talents and I know Heavenly Father loves you for sharing. Thanks again!!!

  13. I love your creativity and I was wondering if there was a way to use your blank VT January 2016 handout and be able to type a message on it. So far adobe is not letting me. If you would let me could I have you email it to me?
Thanks you so much for sharing your talents
    Lisa

    1. Lisa, you just have to import the blank card into a word processing or presentations program that will allow you to add text. Click on the text box and then you can type what you want and format your font to what you want from there. Hope this helps. Rita

  14. Do you create a printable for the following month with excerpts from the VT message every month? On what day of the month will I see it on your site?
I love using them when I send a letter or email to all of the visiting teachers – they give me inspiration for the context of my letter and I believe they are inspirational to the other visiting teachers, as well. :)

    1. Shirley, Thank You. I create a VT handout every month. I put them out on the first day of every month. Happy Visiting! Rita

  15. Sweet Rita,
May I first just say, Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou. I have been following your bolg for about a year now and have totally enjoyed your creations. As a previous RS Pres x 2. and now VT Coordinator for the second time, I am completely devoted to VT. I spend a lot of my time trying to motivate the sisters in my ward to go VT and doing whatever I can to make it easier and more fun. I use your VT printouts to decorate the VT Corner of our bulletin board and make up fridge magnet handouts for the VT to take to the sisters they visit. We have increased our VT in the past year from 48% to 74% – awesome right!, and it is largely due to your beautiful creations. Thankyou again for sharing with us your talents and creativity and making it a lot easier to fulfil my calling… :) Sandra

  16. PS… Any chance that you could post the VT creations a few days prior to the month instead of on the 1st….pretty please!!! ;)

    1. Sandra, I have had several requests to get the VT handout out a little faster. I will try to start next month, but no guarantees, because sometimes the message only comes out a couple of days before the first. But I will try! :) Rita

  17. So grateful for your efforts, talents and gifts shared with everyone. I have just learned and will continue, The VT messages are amazing, assisting in keeping up with my VT. Again thank you.

    1. Alisi, Thank you so much for taking the time to write your kind comment. I appreciate it and your sweet support. Hope you have a great day and Happy Visiting this month! Rita
