November 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

This month the visiting teaching message for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints comes from one of the conference talks.  So I decided that it would be fun to make a bookmark for your sisters to put in their Ensign copy of the conference talks.Nov-2014-VTThese have been formatted to an 8.5 x 11 page so you can just print your own.  I printed mine on photo paper to get a more vibrant, clear copy. To print as a jpg photo, right click over the image and go to “save image as”  then save in a folder.  You can then print it out.Nov-2014-VT-blankHere is the blank version for those of you that would like to translate or to type your own message on.

Here is the download:  Nov 2014 VT

You can now pick your favorite talk to discuss with your sisters and give them a bookmark to mark their reading of the talks!  You could also give them a highlighter marker to go with the bookmark.

A couple of other ideas that I like for the conference ensign is to bind my conference issue:conference magazineLDS Conference Magazine

And I like to print out some of the conference quotes from My Computer is My Canvas, (be sure to visit her site and download your own copy to get the best images!)

I print them and cut them out and  put them right in my copy of the talks on the page that the quote comes from.  (If you just tape the top to the page with scotch tape, you can lift the quote to read the rest of the talk.)  I have taken all of her quotes and made them smaller to put in my magazine, but you could also pick your favorite quote and frame it!

So now you have a few ideas that you could use for this month’s visit!

I am also going to be doing a 40 day conference challenge with the sisters in our ward.  It is a challenge to read all of the conference talks in 40 days.  I will be making a bookmark for this activity and will post it here on the blog in a week or two.  This is a great challenge that you could also give to your sisters!  So be watching for that post!

Happy Visiting this Month!
