Oct. 2017 Visiting Teaching Handout

Is everyone ready for Conference this weekend for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

I hope for those doing the 40 day conference challenge, that you read ahead a day or two, so that you will be done before Saturday!

Besides conference, it is also time for the Oct. 2017 Visiting Teaching Handout!Oct. 2017 visiting teaching handoutThis month the topic is: “Enfolding with Love Those Who Stray”.

For the quote, I chose the one from President Uchtdorf, about “The reality is, that there is no perfect families…”

We all need help and love and it is important to extend that love and support to everyone, but especially to those in our own families!Oct-2017-VTHere is the message card.  It is formatted to a 4 x 6, so you can print as a photo.  If you would like to print as a jpeg image, right click over the image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder.  You can then print from the folder.Oct-2017-VT-blankThis blank one is for those that would like to translate.

Or, if you need a fun card, invite or handout you can use this one.

Please remember, that all of my printables are for personal use only.  They are not for resale!Oct-2017-VT-tag-bootifulHere is a tag that you can tie on to something.

I was able to find these darling pumpkin spice lotion bottles at Harmon’s grocery store!  This is what I am going to use this month.

But you could use a treat, a caramel apple, chex mix, a fun Halloween trinket or just print the message card!Oct-2017-VT-tag-blankAgain…blank tags for your own personal use!

  1. I love visiting teaching because of you. The handouts make it so fun & easy, and the sisters actually look forward to my visit! THANK YOU!

    1. Meme, You are welcome! Thank you for taking the time to write your kind comment…and for doing your visiting teaching! :) Keep up the great work!

  2. Thank you so much for motivating me to do my visiting teaching early each month because they look forward to the message cards. I make it for my visiting teacher too.

  3. Rita,
First time here…was looking for some friendly flare to introduce myself to a fairly recent convert, who has become inactive over the past year. I have received this sweet spirit as a visiting teacher and I fell in love with your creations for this month. I know they will be a great ice breaker. Thank you for sharing your talent and making these available to share to my sisters in the gospel!

    1. Mary, You are welcome. I am glad you found me! Thanks for the work you do with your visiting teaching. Hope you have a great day…and happy visiting this month!

  4. Thanks for your wonderful handouts; they are so refreshing. The sister we go to visit enjoy the message and mention how they are going to put them on their fridge. I always keep one for myself too.

  5. Did you make the book pumpkin? Are there directions some where? I am praying for you and your husband. Thank you so much.

  6. I really like your ministering handouts and your blog. I love to print them and give them to my sisters. I would suggest one thing – make the backgrounds a lighter color and your fonts darker. It is hard to see white font on some backgrounds. Older sisters can’t see as well. Also, this saves on printer toner or ink. Thanks for all your creativity!

    1. Brenda, Thank you for your comment. I usually try to mix up the colors and the backgrounds. A lot of people print the handouts as a photo, so they are clear and easier to read. I will keep your suggestion in mind however. Happy Ministering!
