Sept. 2013 Visiting Teaching Handout

This month the Relief Society message for our church is Self-Reliance.

I really like this quote by Elder Hales about the purpose of both temporal and spiritual self-reliance.  Here is the printable for this month:

Sept-2013-VT-000-Page-1 This  is the blank one for those of you that would like to translate the message, or if you just want a cute blank card…here you go!

Sept-2013-VT-001-blankThese are formatted to a 4 x6 size, so you can simply print your own, or send to your favorite photo processing center.

I also made a cute oversized tag to go with this month’s handout!  I am just loving this fun graphic kit from Just So Scrappy, this is the new “It’s Almost Fall” kit.

Sept-2013-VT-002-Owl-tagsThese are formatted on an 8.5 x 11 page, so that you can simply print and cut out!

I made a “Fall Sweet and Salty Mix” (I will share the recipe next week!)  put it in a cellophane bag and put it in this cute berry basket that I found at our local party store!  Then I simply tied it up with a couple of ribbons, added the tag and I was done!

Happy Visiting this Month!  Love Ya!

You are welcome to share these printable with others but please remember that all of my printables are for personal use only!

I am off this weekend to my favorite boutique of the whole year…Swiss Days!  It is about the only event that I can say the crowds don’t bother me!  I usually will avoid crowds at all costs, but I seem to forget about the crowd when I am in this craft heaven! :)

  8. Hi Rita,
I LOVE the beautiful and fun VT handouts you do every month! This month is no exception…LOVE it! My sisters I visit think I am amazing, but I always tell them that it is you that is amazing with all your talent sharing your gift with the rest of us. I love that you have your website right on the handout. I know that they have all checked you out! Also, I really appreciate the blank ones too. I actually used the one last month for a handout for my RS lesson. The sisters loved it and took all my extras for sisters that weren’t there.
Thanks so much for all you do! I am a regular visiter on your site and am sorry I haven’t commented sooner. I actually found you about a year or so ago!

    1. Just right click over the image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder, you can print them from there. You can print your own, or you can send it to your favorite photo processing center to be printed as a 4 x 6 photo. You can also right click over the image and go to “copy image” then you open your favorite program like Word or Presentations, right click again and go to paste. I hope this helps.

  12. I was just wondering what program you use to make your beautiful handouts. I love the autumn leaf paper on this and want to use it for a wedding invitation, but I can’t find it or anything like it anywhere. Please help or send me to where I can purchase the package!
    Thanks!

    1. Nicole, I use Scrapbook Max and Silhouette programs to design most of my printables. But I purchased my images from Just So Scrappy, this is the “It’s Almost Fall” kit. Hope this helps. I have a CU license to use these on my blog. You can purchase your own for personal use. Hope this helps.

  13. Hey Rita,
I am wanting to print these pictures that have the quote from Robert D Hales out for my lesson on sunday but i am having a hard time removing the Sept 2013 off do you have any suggestions?

    1. Brooke, You could put a text box over the top of the Sept. 2013 and add a color to the background, so that it completely covers the writing. You cannot remove things, but you can add to it. If you know how to use photo shop, you could also fix it by using one of the fix it tools. Hope this helps.
