July 4th 2017 Party
We had our July 4th 2017 party yesterday. It was kind of an impromptu party because I was not sure how many of us were even going to be around!
This year is kind of a super long holiday weekend with July 4th being on Tuesday!
It seems like everyone has been celebrating for a week!We were missing several of our family members, but we still had a crowd! The kids loved it as you can see by the smiles on their faces! We started out with an oldie but a goodie game!
I made this game several years ago. It is just a tarp that has the holes cut out of and duct tape around the edges. This was a football throw. Some of the older kids are getting pretty good at their aim!Grandpa was in charge of the tickets. We did kind of a carnival style party with tickets and prizes! My favorite way for the kids to earn one ticket was to give grandma and grandpa a BIG hug! We had minute to win it games, ball toss, squirt gun games and a fanny shake game!We also did a marshmallow golf challenge with some of the adults. When did my oldest grandson turn into an adult-teen??? I cannot believe how tall he is getting!!Next, we had a marshmallow roasting party to make yummy S’mores! What 4th of July party is not complete without S’mores? My DIL was in charge of the camera for most of the party….This was a fun shot of the party from up on the driveway looking down on all of us!
So, that is our July 4th 2017 party. What are your plans for this fun holiday? Whatever they are, I hope that you will be safe. I also hope that you get to spend some time with the ones you love!
