I made this fun Pumpkin Table Runner for the island in my kitchen and I am loving it! It is just the right touch of Autumn without being any holiday! The pattern for these blocks are from the Lori Holt’s Farm Girl Vintage Book. I used the 12 inch pumpkin block, the rest of the blocks are 6 inches: the maple leaf, the apple and the Sunflower and leaves. I love the pop of blue in between the blocks and for the binding. It just makes the blocks stand outHere is a close- up of the blocks. They are just so fun. I want to make every block in this quilt book! I have several more projects in mind.I learned how to use a ruler for quilting when I went to my quilting retreat…so I got lots of practice on this pumpkin table runner! It is not perfect by any means, but I was just so excited to learn how to do it!I love how this looks outside on my picnic table…but it would get ruined by the weather so……this is how it looks on the island in my kitchen. I can enjoy it everyday because we spend a lot of time in the kitchen!
Now if it would just start to cool down a little bit so that it would feel like autumn!
I am loving being able to practice all of the things I learned in my quilting class. I have two more quilts ready to go, I am just waiting for one more upgrade on my quilting machine to come in the mail and then I will put all of the upgrades on my machine and it will be like new! (I am like a kid at Christmas time!)
Do you have any fall projects that you are working on? I have a couple more that I am trying to get completed. I don’t want to put Halloween out just yet, so this Pumpkin Table Runner is just the right touch for now!
