It is almost the new year and it is time to get organized and set new goals! I spent all morning yesterday purging out my closet!! I was going to do one side, but once I got going I decided to just keep going and get more done! I did all of the hanging clothes and my shoes. I need to do some built-in shelves and the drawers, but I feel like a new woman with a clean closet! :)

I only completed about 6 months in this book, but it was so fun to look back and see some of the projects that I did and some of the trips that we took and some of the holidays that we celebrated etc.

This month I had in my mind that I wanted to make Lollies for the top of my calendar. I was going to make them out of red, white and blue paper and I was going to spell July across the top. I was all prepared to do this…but that was before my friend told me about a craft sale last week. (The one I posted on facebook) We went together and I got BOXES of pre-made lollies! I was in 7th heaven :)

So who needs to make lollies when you can buy them already made with cute ribbons and beads? I simply added the letters to spell out JULY and added a patriotic sticker to the center of the end lollies, what do you think?

Here is my January Calendar!

I had so much fun decorating this month! I think because Christmas was over and I am excited to start the new year. I went with the snowflake theme and even though I don’t really like the cold, I love how beautiful everything looks covered in snow. I had one of my grandsons’ in the car with me yesterday and he said, “Look Grandma, everything looks glittery!” And I must agree that it did… the sun was hitting the snow just right and it looked like glitter had fallen right from heaven! So Pretty.
