Here is a thought that is perfect for Father’s Day!
I love this saying and it would be a fun one to frame or make into a card.

One of the two grandkids that I tend is a three year old, so I have been trying to work with him a little bit on learning his numbers and alphabets. I decided that my back door was a great medium to use as a teaching tool! I can use it as a big magnet board and what kid doesn’t love to play with magnets? I decided that we would make it fun with the toads and the “You are “Toad”ally Awesome” saying for positive reinforcement! I love that it is at my back door and all of the grandkids have had a little bit of fun with it and they read that saying every time they leave my house! :) Continue reading
I am having a hard time getting back into a routine. After our trip to Arizona and a long weekend at the cabin I just want to play all day! Who wants to clean house and work when you have had so much fun?
This last week was spring break here, so we decided to go to the cabin for 4 days and we had two of our families come up. It was non-stop commotion, but it was fun commotion! Not too long after we arrived the first day, my son-in-law texted me asking me to send him a picture of his two kids with the reservoir in the background. This is what I sent him…
My husband and I just got back from our annual trip to Sunny Arizona! We go every year for Spring Training Baseball, well at least that is what we say we go for, but we pack a whole lot more into this trip than just baseball! My number one favorite reason for going this time of year is for the beautiful sunny skies! It is always so warm and wonderful every year when we go and I love just soaking in all of that gorgeous sunshine. It does make it a little difficult to come home when everyone back home (Utah) says that it is snowing again, but after a glorious 10 days we did decide to come back! :)
Today I am posting my Family Subway Art for those of you that did not see it on facebook.
This is just a fun subway art that tells how I feel about my family. I have formatted it in two different sizes, 8 x 10 and also 11 x 14. This would make a fun gift for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, a wedding, birthdays, or how about just a cute little pick me up gift for someone you love! (Maybe yourself!)
Part of our granddaughter’s Christmas gift was to have a date with Grandma and go to the beauty salon! So last week we went to a local beauty school and each of the girls got their hair done and their fingernails painted!
It was so much fun and the girls loved it!
I think that we might even have to do it again sometime! :)
Today’s thought is a humorous one from the Golden Girls!
Who didn’t love them?
Although I really think that there is a quite a bit of truth in this statement! :)
This printable is formatted to 8 x10 if you want to print one.
Just right click over image and go to “save image as” and then save in one of your pictures files. Or you can right click and go to “copy image” then open your favorite program like Word or Presentations and right click again and go to paste.
Just know that it is not easy, but that you are doing it and you should be proud of the fact that you are doing it!
I have just recently discovered a fun family game called “Spot It”.
This is a perfect game for everyone to play. It is very easy to learn and it is a fun, fast paced game.
You can have anywhere from 2-8 players and we have played it with a wide range of age groups all together!
You can actually go in and out of this game, if you need to check on something in the oven, change laundry, change a diaper, you get the idea…then you can just jump right back into the game!
This is the game that we have:
Today, my heart is still saddened by what happened this past weekend in Newtown, CT. I am so sorry to all of those families who’s hearts were broken. There are no words to express how I feel and nothing I can say will express my complete sorrow, but I want to honor all those who were taken. All of the families are all in my prayers and thoughts.
I know that all of us hugged all of our kids and grandkids just a little bit tighter and expressed our love just a little bit more and acknowledged our blessings and showed gratitude for all that is good in our own lives and so for that alone I am grateful.
It is amazing to me that even through the most horrific events and tragedy that
We are hearing stories of all the wonderful educators and leaders and how much they loved each and every one of their students and how they gave their lives in helping these beautiful little ones!
How a community is rallying around each other and supporting and loving each other.
How we are all turning our hearts and minds to our own God and expressing our love for our families and all of our blessings.
How this is affecting our whole country and how we are all responding to this tragedy.
I am so touched that through all the sorrow, and grief that eventually hope and faith take over and guide us through the most horrific things and gives us a renewed heart to go forward.
Several years ago, my oldest son served a mission for our church to the Netherlands. So I asked him about some of the Christmas traditions while he was there and every year since we have celebrated Sinterklaas day in some way or another.
