Today I have a fun little gift label that is perfect for neighbor gifts, teacher gifts, visiting teaching gifts, a co-worker or a special treat for someone you love!

December 2013 Visiting Teaching Handout
I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. We had a great one even though there was a lot of excitement in our neighborhood! One of our neighbors had a fire in their home on Thanksgiving morning! The home received smoke damage and damage to half of the house, but it is not a total loss, thank goodness! We are hoping that they will be able to move back in a week or two! But it will probably take months to get their home all put back together! It really makes you stop and count your blessings and my number one blessing is always my family, as was our neighbor’s! Everyone was safe and that was the most important thing!
But now, here is the December visiting teaching handout for Relief Society for my church I love that it is all about the Savior for this month, because to me that is what Christmas is all about!
I chose to focus on this quote by Elder D. Todd Christofferson.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
I hope that your day is filled with Love, Kindness and Pumpkin Pie!
I will be taking a couple of days off to spend time with the family! Hope that you get to do the same.
Have a Thankful Day and Count Your Blessings. Love Ya!

If you need some reading to get you in the holiday mode, here are a couple of Christmas traditions that we have in our home, perhaps you will want to make one of them a tradition in your home!
This first one is the one that I cherish the most. You will want to read through this post, but be prepared to have a tissue at hand! If you have children, this is a great tradition. My husband and I do this every year with our family because all of our children are grown and so this is what we have the kids and grandkids do for our gifts! It is wonderful!
The second tradition that we do is the Nativity. The kids love to act this out and I have a very simple way to make all of the costumes! You could even do these as a no-sew project if you want to. They are very basic and simple, but the thing that I love about them is the fact that one size fits all…literally! You just tie them up a little higher or tuck them in for the little ones! Perfect, you make them once and then you have them forever!
Aren’t these kids the cutest ever? :)
Super Easy Darling Nativity Costumes
Did that get you in the Christmas Spirit?
If you are a black Friday shopper, all I can say, is GOOD LUCK and I hope you are able to get all the deals that you are out there for! :)
As for me, I think that I will just stay home and enjoy my Christmas Decorations and get ready for our Sinterklaas Party!
Thanks for stopping by today.
I am really grateful for all of my readers and I appreciate the support that you give to me!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Stitched Redwork Quilt
I finished my redwork quilt last weekend and I am so excited to put up all my Christmas decorations now! In fact, I had all my kids and grandkids haul up all my boxes with my decorations from the downstairs, so they are scattered in boxes all around the house! It usually takes me 2-3 days to put up all of my decorations, but for the most part, I take my time and just enjoy it. I usually have a little helper or two, so it goes up pretty quickly.
Here is my newest redwork project, to add to my collection:
72 Hour Food Kits
I mentioned last week about an activity that we had for Relief Society for our church. We made 72 hour food kits to put in a 72 hour emergency kit. These kits contain enough food for one person for 72 hours. They have non-perishable foods in them. The only thing that you have to add is water. It would also be great to have your own portable stove or Bunsen burner to heat the water for the hot chocolate or to make the soup, but of course, you could eat these things cold. If you were hungry, it would not matter!
Monogram Wreath-Crafty Wood Cutouts
I was contacted by Crafty Wood Cutouts asking if I would be willing to do a project from their store and then blog about it, Um…yeah!
I went down to the retail store and it has some darling displays and ideas! If you live in the Orem/Provo area, you really should check out this fun little store! If you don’t live nearby, check out their cute website!
I decided on a couple of different projects. The first one is this classic monogram wreath:
Thursday’s Thought-Note to Self:
Today my thought is a fun one… just in time for Halloween!
I have actually used this for several tags to give to people for a “just thinking of you” or thanks for all you do note attached with some kind of chocolate of course! Do you know anyone who could use a pick me up today or a “I’m thinking of you today”? Go ahead and print some of these up as tags and give them away! It will make you feel good.
Hope you have a Thoughtful Thursday! Love Ya!
5 Recipes to Make with Halloween Candy
This is a repost that I did a year ago. The original post said to use your leftover Halloween candy, but you could use any of these recipes before Halloween for your parties, get together’s or for a fun family night! These recipes are also great to give away as gifts for the holidays. Many of these recipes can be changed up just a little bit and you could use them for any time of the year!
Halloween Soup Can Surprise!
I cannot believe that October is already more than half over! Where does the time go???
Today for my Thursday’s Thought, I decided to make these fun Halloween Soup Can labels, instead of a thought, I don’t think that anyone will mind… right?
I am sure that you have probably seen this idea before but they are such a fun idea for kids, grandkids, co-workers, visiting teaching, neighbors or to BOO your friends!
Conference Snack Tags
This weekend is General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is something that I always look forward to, we are able to watch the sessions on TV, so it is nice to gather your family around you and enjoy it all together.
I had a request to make some Conference Snack tags to go along with the S’mores Snack Mix for conference and decided to make a whole page of different tags, so you can pick which treat you would like to use. They are available now in my shop for a quick download. All you do is print and cut out!
These darling tags are perfect for your LDS Conference Snacking. They are great little incentives to remind your conference listeners of the importance of listening to the Prophet! You can use the S’mores Snack Mix, Soda, Snickers or M& M’s with these fun tags! Make this conference weekend a “Sweet” one to remember! There are 12 tags is all, so you can give one to your Grandkids, family, your visiting teaching sisters, your primary or youth classes, or anyone that you know that wants to make conference a little “Sweeter”!
(Of course your download will not have the big watermark across the front!)
So visit the shop today and get your tags ready for this Conference Weekend!
