My husband and I just got back from our annual trip to Sunny Arizona! We go every year for Spring Training Baseball, well at least that is what we say we go for, but we pack a whole lot more into this trip than just baseball! My number one favorite reason for going this time of year is for the beautiful sunny skies! It is always so warm and wonderful every year when we go and I love just soaking in all of that gorgeous sunshine. It does make it a little difficult to come home when everyone back home (Utah) says that it is snowing again, but after a glorious 10 days we did decide to come back! :)

I Love Avocados!
This post brought to you by Avocados from Mexico. All opinions are 100% mine.
I love, love, love avocados… in salads, on sandwiches, with tomatoes, in guacamole and just about with anything! So when I got the opportunity to write about avocados, I said count me in!
You can visit Avocados from Mexico and find all kinds of recipes and tips using avocados, there are also games for kids to play and videos to watch. Be sure to check it out, it is a fun site to browse. I have already checked out several of the recipes and pinned them!
Grandma and Grandpa Dates
Part of our granddaughter’s Christmas gift was to have a date with Grandma and go to the beauty salon! So last week we went to a local beauty school and each of the girls got their hair done and their fingernails painted!
It was so much fun and the girls loved it!
I think that we might even have to do it again sometime! :)
Look at how darling that hair is! Each one of them turned out sooo cute!
I’m in Love!…
This last weekend, my husband and I went up to our cabin, but we took a detour on the way up and went to Trader Joe’s. I know that a lot of you are familiar with Trader Joe’s, but it is new to Utah and can I just say…
I am in LOVE!
We stopped on the way up to our cabin and then we went back on our way home from the cabin! That is how impressed I was.
Dog Kennel Quilt Show
I went to the Dog Kennel Quilt show this last weekend. Isn’t that quite the name! apparently when they first started they met in an old dog kennel building! My how times have changed. They were celebrating 20 years this year! This is what greeted us as we pulled up to the house! Is that amazing or what. It is a small representation of some of their quilts over the last 20 years! Swiss Days Finds
Labor Day Weekend is one of my favorite weekends of the year! Not because we have some great family traditions that we do, but because I have a personal tradition that I do! I go to Swiss Days in Midway, Utah every year. I have been going for years and I look forward to it every fall! We go up Provo canyon to get there and it is always such a beautiful drive because the leaves have started turning their bright and beautiful colors. There is usually a little bit of coolness in the air and it is perfect for shopping at all the different boutique booths! Continue reading
Ikea- Ruffled Scarf!
I was invited to a Blogger Mixer & Networking Event at Ikea. It was so much fun to make some new blogging friends and to be able preview some of the new displays at Ikea and get a sneak peek at their new catalog! They fed us breakfast and then they sent on on a shopping spree! It doesn’t get any better than that! Thank you Celeste and Ikea and Tauni at SNAP for putting this great event together!
It’s All About the Hunt!
This weekend we went up to our cabin and on the way up my husband asked if I wanted to stop at a couple of my favorite shops in Midway. Of course I said yes! Continue reading
Shopping finds!
When my husband and I went on our little vacation a couple of weeks ago, I went shopping at several fun stores that we don’t have in Utah. One of the first stops is always Scrapbooks Etc. but now it is Scrapbooks and fabric! Twice the fun! I love to look at all the fun ideas in this shop and it is always at the top of my list of shopping stops! I could spend a couple of hours in this store just drooling over all the fun products and displays that they have! I picked out a few pieces of fabric for a new purse that I want to make. And I got this “Smash Book” ( When I told my husband that I got a “Smash Book”, he looked at me funny and said, “you bought a book about mammograms?” He thought that he was so funny!)
