I am still on my cleaning/de-junking mission…therefore, I want to show you my Scrapbook Room Makeover! This is where I started!!!
I used to own a scrapbook store, and when I closed it, I ended up bringing way too much stuff home!
This entire room was filled to the brim and the closet too! A full die-cut system took one whole wall. Paper and turn racks filled the opposite wall.
Under the table there were two sets of drawers full of punches. The list goes on and on of STUFF!
It was time to clean it all out! All of my girls came and took anything that they wanted. We had quite a bit of Bazzill paper, so we just divided it up among all of us. They took anything that they wanted…but it was not near enough!!!
For that reason, I started calling all of my friends to come get what they wanted. I was able to donate the die cut system to my friend’s church! They seemed happy to get it!
And eventually, I was able to give away all that I had hoped to!In this after picture, you can see that I was able to fit everything that I kept into the closet! And I did not even use all of the shelves!! Win-Win!There were also several boxes of regular cardstock paper stored out in the garage.
Rather than keep it all, we decided that we would donate paper to each of the elementary schools that our grandchildren attend! Each one of the kids came out to help me load the paper and take it into the schools. All of the schools seemed very appreciative to receive this paper and I was glad to donate it!!This is what my scrapbook room looks like now!! My kids keep asking me what I am going to put in here and I just smile and say “absolutely nothing!”
It does my heart good, to just go in this room and look around! I feel like I have conquered!
So this is my Scrapbook Room Makeover!
Now I am on to the next room!
I am on a roll!
Have you organized/ de-junked any rooms lately? Doesn’t it feel sooo good?
You have inspired me to clean out my craft room and to donate some paper etc. to my grandchild’s school as well, so thank you!!
Sue, Yay! It is such a good feeling…you will be glad you did it! Good luck with your craft room cleaning!
You’re absolutely amazing! So inspiring!
Marcia, Awww, you are so kind. Thank You. Hope you have an amazing day!
Love it!! If I had an empty room like that I”d say the same thing! “nothing”!
Kathryn, It was one of the kids bedroom, when they lived at home and I really don’t need to fill it up with anything. I am on a mission to clean/dejunk my whole house, so I should be getting rid of things…not adding more! I love the feeling!
Way to go!!
I too am cleaning out my scrapbook/crafting room.
I plan on keeping that room empty too, and it will put a smile on my face every time I walk in there :)
Warm wishes ~K.
Impressive!
Joyce, Thank you for taking the time to write your comment. I appreciate your sweet support. It feels good to have my scrapbook room all cleaned out…now on to the next room!
Are you not doing any scrapbooking anymore? 😊
Your room looks wonderful. I’m on a mission to do the same.
Saundra, I am not doing much scrapbooking any more. If I do anything, it is just a mini book of a specific event. I still have plenty of supplies for what I need and I love that I have cleaned up my scrapbook room and condensed all of my supplies to just the basics! Good luck with your room. It is a wonderful feeling!
