It is that time of year again when everyone is baking and making all kinds of goodies in their kitchens. I, too, have been making cookies, casseroles, soups and a lot of the good comfort foods that my family loves. This recipe is a new one that I tried with peach pie filling from Lucky Leaf! I have to say that it was a hit and that everyone who tried it, loved it!
A few days ago I received a free package from Lucky Leaf and when I opened the box this is what I saw! I love how they packaged everything and wrapped it up in this darling handmade warming tote!
When I opened the package, I found 4 cans of Lucky Leaf Pie filling, and three magazines that were bookmarked with their ads and three fun recipes to try. Oh so fun!
I was asked to make something with one of the pie fillings and write about it. They sent me a recipe for Amaretto Peach Cobbler, but since I had no Amaretto, I decided to make it an “Almond Peach Cobbler” and I absolutely love the addition of the almond flavoring and the almonds on the top! This was a great combination: peaches and almonds! YUM
Here is the recipe that is super easy and is so yummy!
Almond Peach Cobbler
2 21-ounce cans Lucky Leaf Premium Pie Filling
2 teaspoons almond flavoring (or 1/2 cup Amaretto)
1 package sugar cookie mix -1 7.5 ounce
1 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup butter, cubed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Spread pie filling into an ungreased 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Drizzle with almond flavoring, (or Amaretto)
Sprinkle cookie mix and almonds over top; dot with butter.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown.
Serve warm. Can top with whipped cream or ice cream and additional sliced almonds.
Enjoy!

Do any of you have any good cobbler recipes? I would love to hear about them.
Cobblers and crips are some of my favorite desserts, especially this time of the year! :)
