Happy Monday everyone!
I hope that you all had a great Easter Weekend and got to enjoy at least part of it with your family and those that you love. I really enjoyed watching General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints this weekend and I feel renewed and ready to go forth again! I also enjoyed watching the mini series-“AD The Bible Continues.” I loved the first show…what do you think about it?
My husband and I have a property in Upton, Utah. It is a hunting property that has tons of roads and trails to explore on! Our family loves to go up there to look for deer, go fishing, hiking, having picnics, exploring, hunting for horn sheds, and to ride the ATV’s!I love that view in the top picture, it is not at the top of the mountain, but you come around a corner on the side and you have view of the whole valley below. We found a couple of horn sheds and I had to show them off to my kids! We’re a competitive family like that! :)
We ordered some grass carp fish to put in the pond, because the carp will supposedly eat all of the moss! We had to go pick them up at the airport and take them directly to the pond. We released them and they were very lively little creatures…they were so happy to get out of the box that they were shipped in!
As you can see…they have a lot of work to do!! We watched them for about 1/2 hour and they seemed happy to be able to get out and go swimming about!
My husband and I went for a ride around one part of the property and it was such a beautiful spring day with the sun shining bright in the sky. We had a great time and I always enjoy getting out for a ride on the 4-wheelers. I think I might know how motorcyclists feel with the wind blowing through their hair! :) (Although that might be stretching it a bit…because I don’t go very fast!)We have a field of alfalfa planted in the bottom of the property and at certain times of the day and year you will see something like this:It is always so fun to see these beautiful animals running around. The bucks have all lost their horns at this time of year, but they will start growing again soon.
My husband bought a 22 rifle and he was teaching me how to shoot it! I really enjoy target shooting…I am just not too much for real hunting! We love this property and hope that all of our families will enjoy it for many years to come!
I love weekends, and I am so fortunate to be able to be outside and to enjoy nature, the beautiful weather, a fun, loving companion and the beautiful surroundings around me!
Thanks for visiting today!
Now that Easter is over…do I have to take down my decorations? It is too early in the month to take everything down, so I will leave out everything that is “springy” and take down the Easter decor. Here is a fun idea for you, if you need to bring a little more spring into your home! These fun Spray painted bottles are super easy to do and add just the right amount of color and fun into your life!
There are even some fun printable tags if you need to give some to someone else! :)
Hi Rita….Love, love, love reading your blog everyday. Thank you for all of the inspiration as well as wonderful ideas. I use your VT handouts nearly every month and my sisters think I am so talented. I always tell them it is you…I’m just a great copier!!! Thanks again.
You said you have property in Upton. That is close to our home. In fact, my grandmother lived there and I have many relatives buried in their little cemetery. Beautiful country. Glad you enjoy it.
Vicky, We absolutely love Upton! It is beautiful country and the people are so nice and friendly! You are lucky to live in that area. Thank you for your kind comments, I appreciate you sweet words and your support. Hope you have a great day!
