Last week my husband was gone and so I decided to have a card making party while he was away! My neighbor agreed to teach us some new techniques and tips and so we got some of the girls together for a fun little night out! I was having so much fun that I really forgot to take very many pictures and the ones I have here have very poor lighting, so you will have to excuse the photographer on this post, but she was more interested in being with friends than the camera! :)
This is my cute little neighbor, who taught our class!
This is only a small portion of the group, we had 17 of us crammed into my kitchen and dining room, but we really did have a fun night! I really should have taken more pictures!I made up some basic card kits and let everyone do their own variation. Here are a few ideas from this one card kit:
The flower/fun card with a jewel for the center of the card.
A Birthday/giggle card with a cupcake and a brad for the dot on the ‘i”.And a Princess card with a heart jewel on the tiara and a flower brad for the wand.
All of these cards were made from the same kit. It was double sided paper, so some of them just have the other side of the paper, and by just turning the squares to make diamonds makes a big difference in the appearance of the cards. I love to make cards and invitations and it is so easy to take a basic idea and change it up just a little bit to make a completely different look!
Thanks for a fun night everyone. Happy card making!
