This month I had in my mind that I wanted to make Lollies for the top of my calendar. I was going to make them out of red, white and blue paper and I was going to spell July across the top. I was all prepared to do this…but that was before my friend told me about a craft sale last week. (The one I posted on facebook) We went together and I got BOXES of pre-made lollies! I was in 7th heaven :)
So who needs to make lollies when you can buy them already made with cute ribbons and beads? I simply added the letters to spell out JULY and added a patriotic sticker to the center of the end lollies, what do you think?
They are just so festive and I would not have made them this cute! I simply added a magnet to the back of each one to make the top garland!
I just added a magnet to the back of some 3-D stickers, for the other embellishments.
For the clothespins this month I just covered the top of the blue one with this fun metallic washi tape, the white one is a cute scrolls washi tape and the red one is an old one that was paper and mod podged on. I then added another one of the 3-d star stickers to the end of each clothespin and added a strip of magnet to the back of each. Love them!
So this is my calendar for this month! Now I can start filling all the fun dates. July is a fun month because of the 4th, but here in Utah we celebrate the 24th -Pioneer Days, also, plus all the fun activities of the summer! Gotta love it!
Here is the printable for the business size card magnet! Just print and apply to the magnet, it doesn’t get much easier than that!
How is your July calendar looking so far? Is it filled with parties, BBQ’s and vacations, or is yours filled with lazy days and sipping lemonade? Either way I hope that it is a great month!
Have a wonderful day and keep cool! It is in the 100’s here in our neck of the woods!
Hi! I just found and fell in love with your website! I have many new projects I need to try now! :) I have one question for you….where did you get your calendar? It looks just like what I need for my family command station :) Thanks so much for all of your ideas and especially for sharing them!
Sincerely,
Cheyenne
Cheyenne, I got my board at Swiss Days, a big boutique that they hold once a year, in Midway Utah. But the company name is Ala Board. Here is a link to their website:. Hope this helps. I have had my board for 3 years now and I still love it! :)
