Here is a really cute, fun, simple little gift idea!
It is great for teacher appreciation, a thank you gift for someone, just thinking about you, or heck, it would be great to just make one for yourself! :)
Remember the chocolate morsels that we wrapped here. Well this is another fun way to use those sweet babies.
First of all you will need to buy one or two or ten of these little plastic organizing boxes. I just get mine at Wally World and they are usually by the beads in the craft section. Then cut a piece of scapbook paper to the size of the top of the box. This box has an indented margin all around the top, so I cut the paper to fit inside the margin. Then I just used a corner rounder punch to round the edges. If you do not have double sided paper, you will need to glue two pieces of paper together before you start cutting. (You will want it to look pretty on the inside of the lid) I inked the edges the paper also.Next, glue a piece of ribbon or cut a coordinating piece of paper and glue along the middle of the paperI wrapped the ribbon around the edge so that it would not have frayed edges. (When I make more, I will continue the ribbon all the way around both sides!)Then decorate the top any way that you want to. I love flowers and I had all of these supplies on hand, so I just used what I had. You can use die cuts, vinyl, rhinestones, more ribbon, fabric flowers etc, etc, etc.Now comes the fun part, filling these cute boxes. This is where you will use those fun wrapped chocolate morsels!Put some of the chocolates in 2-3 of the compartments and then just start filling up the rest with fun LITTLE trinkets. This box would be fun for a scrapbooking friend, it has a tape runner, a paper piercer, a distressing file, a couple of ink pads, some fun colorful brads and some flowers! Who wouldn’t love to receive this box? Raise your hand!
This box would be a fun gift for a sewing friend. It has thread, needles, pins, a measuring tape and some cute ribbons!
This one is perfect for a teacher, secretary or any office. I put markers, pencil sharpener, white out tape, a glue stick, thumbtack, paper clips and clasps!
This is a beauty box. It has fingernail polish, glitter for glitter toes, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, hand salve, and cotton squares. These boxes are really fun to put together, the biggest challenge is finding things that are small enough to fit in each compartment. But the ideas are endless as to what different themes you could use and what you could fill them with! I had a great time making these boxes and there may or may not have been an unusual amount of chocolate consumption during the making of this post! :) What kind of box would you make? I would love for you to leave me a comment and let me know of some of your ideas!
These are so adorable! Just perfect for friend or visiting teacher gifts :) Thanks for sharing

What a great idea, Rita! I love how you can personalize it to whomever you want to give it too. I think I’m gonna have to pin this one :)
