Today I have a fun Halloween Witch Boot Cookie Holder for you to make! This is an easy craft project that even the kids could help with as long as you manage the hot glue gun! This would be perfect for visiting teaching, teacher gifts, neighbor gifts, or just a thinking about you gift!
These are super easy to make…you can make them out of felt, or the glittered felt like I did here, or you can make them out of card stock paper.I sewed around both of these boots, but if you wanted a no-sew project, you could simply
glue around the edges of the boot with a good strong glue, leaving the top open.I folded a sheet of felt in half and cut around the pattern, so you can get one finished witch boot out of one sheet of felt. Now comes the fun part…the embellishments! You could do something as simple as a silk flower and a ribbon…or you can add rhinestones and painted spider rings! I did clean off all of the spider web glue after looking at this picture! :) You could also use just the boot without the cookies for a fun party favor filled with candy! Here is the pattern for the witch boot cookie holder. If you want the JPEG format, right click over the image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder. This is on an 8.5 x 11 size page. Just print and cut out. For those of you that would like the PDF pattern just click on the link below:
You can find the cookies in the cellophane sleeve at Costco. Now you have a fun, easy Halloween witch boot cookie holder to make for your visiting teachers, neighbors or friends. If you are watching conference…this is a project that you could work on this weekend!
This would be perfect for visiting teaching, but I will have one more idea for you tomorrow along with the visiting teaching handout, so be sure to check back for that!
Did you sew boot with right sides together and turn, or did you simply topstitch with wrong sides together? The picture looks like you turned, but I’m wondering if that would make the toe very tiny. Cute, cute, cute!!!
Jeanene, I sewed the boots wrong sides together. There is no turning! These are a very simple project. Good luck in making yours and Happy Haunting!

Love the idea and will make them for my grand kids. Thanks for sharing with all of us. Just one quick question, how do I get the Oreos in the mail before opening them? :0)
Bev, Willpower…my girl, Willpower! :)
Bev, If you buy the big box of Oreos at Sam’s Club they come packaged in sleeves of about 10 or 15…. I can’t remember how many… haven’t had any in a while.. not on my healthy eating plan and I love oreo’s so I have to stay away from them.
Very Cute Rita! I love the fun ideas you share with us. So do the sisters I visit. :)
Sew Cute! Love that the oreo’s make the stripes on the stockings!
Looks great!!! Thanks Rita
Kathy, You are welcome. It is not the same as the one with the fabric, but this is much easier! You know me…I always go for easier!
Have a great day!
