Hi everyone! It has been a bit since I have posted a project that I have done, so today I want to show you my Redwork Garden Accent Pillow! This was a fun project that I could take to ballgames, or while I was waiting in Dr. appointments. It is small and there was only one color of thread, so it was very portable!Don’t you love the prairie points on the top and bottom borders? They add so much to this fun pillow and they are super easy to do!
The finished size is 9.5 x 9.5.The pattern for this project is from Shabby Fabrics. It was in their spring catalog. You can find the free pattern here.
They give you the directions and pattern to make this darling Redwork Garden Accent Pillow. They also have all kinds of kits for a lot of their projects.
If you love handwork projects, you need to check them out at shabbyfabrics.com.
I ordered a quilt top that is all appliqued and the pieces are all cut out for me. All I had to do is iron them on and applique around them! This is quite a big project, so look for more on this quilt in a few weeks (months). Can’t wait to display this all summer long with all of my Americana decor! It fits in perfectly with the red color!
Are any of you working on hand projects this summer? Summer is the perfect time for me because I can take my projects with me to ballgames, to the park, on picnics or just to sit outside in the shade for a bit!
I have started sewing again and have several projects that I am working on. Sewing is a wonderful hobby of mine and I have missed doing it for a bit. Hopefully I am getting back into the groove!
Beautiful!❤️
Sandra, Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It made my day!

I LOVE to do redwork because like you said, it’s portable and easy to do when you’re waiting somewhere. Another website with cute designs is birdbraindesigns.net, and they often have free patterns to download. Love the pillow!
Joann, thank you so much for taking the time to write your kind comment. I love Bird Brain Designs! Thanks for reminding me of this wonderful company. I have done a few of their project too, but now I will have to go take a look at their website and find another great project!!!

Kristine, Thank you so much for your kind comment. I am trying to get myself going again and it feels good to have a few simple easy projects that I can pick up. Thanks for your sweet words and your sweet support…both mean a lot to me.
I tried to find the free pattern for this cute pillow, but couldn’t get it. What am I doing wrong?
Judy, I just checked the link, and they have taken the free pattern away. There is a pattern in the new catalog, but it is no longer free, I am sorry. I will need to change the post now to show a link to a paid pattern. Thanks for the heads up!
