August 2022 Ministering Handouts
Hey everyone! Happy August! Can you believe it? Our grandkids are going to be back in school in a couple of weeks!! Whaaat??? Where did the summer go?
Sometimes I can be a little bit of a broken record, when it comes to back to school time. I have such a strong testimony about education and developing our talents. And every year at this time, I start thinking about these things.
Therefore, for this month I chose a quote from Heber J. Grant. It comes from
Don’t you love how he expresses the importance of developing our talent(s), even if we feel like we only have one? (Which I know that all of you have more than one!) These handouts are formatted to a 4 x 6 size. Those of you that would like to print as a jpeg image, simply right click over image. Go to “save image as” then save in a folder of your choice. You can print from there or send it out to your favorite photo processing center.
All of my images are for personal use only. They are not for re-sale.
Here is a blank card is for those of you that would like to translate. Or if you are in need of a cute card, tag, note, or handout…this is just for you!
Simply add your own text and print! This month I added a challenge question bookmark! You can add this to a notebook, a card, or just give it alone. All you need to do is print, cut out and add some ribbons to the top! Easy Peasy! Also included, are these blank bookmarks that you can personalize any way that you choose to do!!
I found these fun notebooks at Wal-mart with all the back to school stuff. They come in a 3-pack. I thought they would be fun to record how you are developing your talents and for recording your tender mercies along the way!
Something you may not know about me…I am like a kid in a candy store when it comes to school and art supplies!
I am also a bit of a pen snob…and love these Slicci pens, they have a very fine point and are wonderful to write and doodle with! You can make some fun bookmarks with jumbo paper clips! All you do is layer paper flower punches, or you could cut your own flowers and circles. Ink the edges, and use foam tape to make them 3-D. Then glue a button, or other embellishment to the center flower. Most office supply stores carry these Jumbo paper clips.Cut two layers of the back circle, then insert the jumbo paper clip between the two circles to adhere to the clip and to make a nice finish on the back.
They are super easy to make, but you could also do the printed bookmark that is included with this post. This is how I tied my book, pen and bookmark/paper clip together!

I Hope you will do the challenge and take a good look at yourself and make a goal to work on developing or finding a new talent!

I didn’t receive the August email. I somehow clicked on something to get me to August. When I put in your https://www.pinkpolkadotcreations.com, it only gave me choices for interest, Facebook and not to the page I’m usually on.
Grateful for the fabulous job you do each month to help with our ministering sisters. You’re so talented and do an amazing job.
Thank you, Sandra
Sandra, You are welcome. I think something is wrong with the emails. I will need to get someone to update it for me. Hopefully it will be working right by next month. Thanks
